In 1999, I tripped (literally) over a piece of old metal sticking out of the rubble in the Yellow Band. It turned out to be the remains of the 1933 Camp VI, walked over by climbers for decades, but never looked at.
Since 1999, I've visited the camp four more times, pulling out some very cool artifacts and even getting some snacks in the process. Take a look at this video to learn more about the '33 camp, and be sure to visit my Virtual Everest Panorama Project for much more!
