It's always eye opening to me what can be found if you take the time to look around. In Spring 2019, on our first trip up to Advanced Basecamp on Mount Everest, I took a little detour above camp to browse around on the moraines, and found bits of wooden packing crate, most likely from 1933. Small trinkets of now massive significance, but also ties to a past that is oft forgotten, memories of those who paved the way a century ago.
