184 - Zac Sokolow (LA LOM) and Jessy Jacquet-Cretides and Tommaso Medica (bby)
In episode 184 of “Have Guitar Will Travel”, presented by Vintage Guitar Magazine, host James Patrick Regan is back at BottleRock speaking with Zac Sokolow guitarist with “LA LOM” and Jessy Jacquet-Cretides and Tommaso Medica co-guitarists with the band “bby”. First up is Zac Sokolow guitarist with “LA LOM”, in their conversation Zac describes his guitars a Kay with crazy copper panels and a red Airline guitar and tells us about the name “LA LOM” which stands for “Los Angeles League of Musicians”.
Zac gives us a little bit of his musical history, starting on banjo playing bluegrass moving to guitar and rockabilly, then Zac tells us about the history of the band and walks us through his equipment.
Zac talks about the music they’re playing, Cumbia and Chicha music that originated in Peru.

Next up is Jessy Jacquet-Cretides and Tommaso Medica co-guitarists with the band “bby”. In their conversation the guys tell us about the name of the band and they tell us about Tommaso’s accident where he ended up with a broken wrist, which is why he ended playing bass for the BottleRock show and Deon their bass player ended up on guitar.
The guys tell us about their gear on tour and at home and they tell us about a residency they have in London
