A 16-year-old was taken into custody after a 17-year-old was shot in the chest in the parking lot outside of a Rancho Cordova 7-Eleven on Monday night, officials said. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, the shooting occurred at Mills and Mather Field roads just before 10 p.m.
