Spinal injuries are among our most common cases because although these injuries may seem mundane on the surface, they cause extreme pain and suffering for the victim. In this case, the Plaintiff was rear-ended at less than 20 mph, which was enough to cause serious injuries to his cervical and lumbar spine.

Greyson Goody, Esq., needed to show jurors the painful magnitude of his client's spinal injuries, the two fusion surgeries he would undergo, and the brutal nature in which these surgeries ultimately failed.

The Defense admitted liability for the collision but disputed the exact causation of damages. The Defense argued that the Plaintiff's injuries were soft tissue in nature and all the surgeries were due to degenerative conditions not related to the car accident.

We equipped Mr. Goody with an arsenal of Color Diagnostics and Medical Illustrations to help him establish his client's damages, surgical experience, and future medical needs.

The highest amount the Defense was willing to offer was $500K. After Mr. Goody presented his case to jurors with the following visuals, they awarded his client a $16.5M verdict, which would amount to $18M after accounting for costs and prejudgment interest.
