I have become quite sensitive to the resin I usually use for resin wave making despite wearing full PPE and using 2 air purifers. It's the reason I decided to try and make my own DIY resin white paste so I could test it with resins I don't react to. I am fine with Harry and Wilma Artko resin and currently have four different types of theirs so I'll test with them first. If one of the 4 work I'll be VERY happy
This will be TEST 1.
* Resin used will be Artko Tabletop resin which has a working time of 30 minutes since you stop mixing.
* I have 2 DIY resin white pastes I made previously. One is a thinner consistency in squeeze bottle and one thicker in a jar. Once the resin is mixed I'll mix my white and put it aside to use in the last few minutes of the working time
* Canvases by 3 for each test. On one canvas I'll use my thicker DIY white resion paste, the second canvas I'll use my thinner DIY white resin paste and the 3rd canvas will be a combination of both white pastes
* For each canvas I'll mix up 100gm of resin, measure off 10gm mixed resin and add approx .5gm of my DIY resin white paste. Clear mixed resin will be put on the canvas straight after mixing.
* On the left side of each canvas I'll make the resin coverage thin behind the wave line. On the right it will be normal thickness. The white will be the same all along.
I want to see if I can get lacing with my white, will my thin white or thick white or combo of both whites work best for resin wave lacing?, will it work best on the thinner resin side or the normal resin thickness side on the canvas and will the resin wave lacing hold on curing?

Next week I'll try 3 more canvases doing the same thing but with a different Artko resin. I'll repeat it again on week 3 and 4 each with a different Artko resin. SURELY one will work for resin waves?
