G'day. In this weeks video I decided to give the Faux Larimar Stone technique a go. I was inspired by Tea and Arts videos (as well as others) as this has become a popular current technique to try to achive. Tea and Arts channel is here: youtube.com/@teaandart/featured
Many resin artists are not yet sharing the full version of how the effect is achieved but on Tea and Arts videos she has kindly shared the resin she uses, amounts mixed etc I dont have the same products but decided to challenge myself and give it a go!!
What I do know is the resin needs to be a thin (low viscosity) type such as a 2:1 ratio resin. The white has to be transluscent not Opaque and you need two transparent colours....one of which is darker then the other. You also need to use a wide deep mold so the resin can move and work its magic after it's poured. You can pour straight after mixing colours and the pour is a quick puddle central pour
