This is another poem written by Kathleen Faragher and published in her booklet entitled: "Green Hills by the Sea".
The subject of the poem appeared to be a favourite one for Kathleen as many of her poems were about fairy folk.
The Ayres mentioned in the poem are the flat sandy northern tip of the Isle of Man.
I felt that this along with a few other of her poems lent itself to being a song, so I have composed the melody and accompaniment for it.
