World's Finest Race Cars, and a Carnival / Mardi Gras atmosphere is why Sebring is the greatest motorsports event on the planet. This 65th Anniversary of the 12 Hours of Sebring Race, and, the 20th Anniversary of the legendary 'La Bomba' race-car float, shows that the spirit of racing rivalry and fan revelry is still alive and well in Sebring! Wayne Estes, the President & General Manager of the 12 Hours of Sebring was very gracious in offering La Bomba, and the La Bomba/Turn 11 Krewe, a parade lap of the track on Wednesday evening. Much fun was had by all, and everyone had big smiles on their faces, as La Bomba toured the track. Many of the fans track-side shared in the enthusiasm as La Bomba roared by, as did Wayne Estes who joined us on-board La Bomba for the ride. It was a fabulous week of racing and Green Park revelry, and a milestone year for both Sebring & La Bomba. Most of the La Bomba krewe hail from Sarasota, FL. The legendary 'Sarasota Racing & Drinking Enthusiasts' also share the camp at Turn 11 - Collier Curve.
