Minecraft 1.17.1 has been out for a while now, so by now most mods have been updated to work with Forge 1.17.1 as well. In this video, I will show you how to install Xaero's Minimap 1.17.1 and how to install Xaero's World Map 1.17.1 for Forge! Xaero's Minimap is one of the most popular minimap mods for Minecraft of all time, especially when you combine it with Xaero's World Map 1.17.1! Xaero's Minimap lets you keep track of your journey through a useful and interactive minimap, it allows you to set waypoints and spot other mobs more easily. Xaero's Minimap is a Forge mod, so in this video I will also show you how to install Forge 1.17.1, so you'll be able to use Xaero's Minimap and Xaero's World Map in Minecraft 1.17.1!
Now, the Forge 1.17.1 installer will be a .jar file, so to run it you need Java. Because for some people, the file association is set incorrectly, they will need to run a program called Jarfix to fix this. Apart from showing you how to install Forge for Minecraft 1.17.1, and showing you how to install Xaeros Minimap for 1.17.1 and how to install Xaeros World map for Minecraft 1.17.1, I will also show you the mods in action real quick! Faithful 1.16.3 is one of the most popular resource packs for Minecraft, but its a little harder to install since you cant find the Faithful texture pack 1.16.3 on Curseforge! I do recommend installing Optifine 1.16.3 when using texture packs to get overall better performance, but its not necessary for this pack.
