In this video I assemble the MDF enclosure that I’ll be using to house the CNC electronics. I’ve designed it in such a way that it can be cut on a CNC machine, and has individual windows mount aviation sockets and buttons. I used the battered and scared waste-board of a much later machine, so it has a sci-fi or occult look about it. It reminds me of the Ennis House which featured in the original Blade Runner movie.
I also used an aluminium plate to mount the PSU’s VFD, contactor unit, stepper drivers and control board, and slotted trunking to separate high low voltage wiring.
