Helen Cherba (née Rydzik) was born on November 22, 1918 in Mayfield, Pennsylvania, 10 days after the end of World War One. She lived in Singac in Little Falls, New Jersey then moved to Totowa. Cherba, who has lived through 20 Presidents of the United States, sat down in her living room for a conversation about her life and times.
