Arcade1Up, a Basic Fun brand, just announced the Sonic the Hedgehog “Supreme Series” home arcade, priced around $699–$799, with Sonic the Hedgehog 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3D Blast, and Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine built in.
And I’m sitting here asking the obvious question: who is this actually for?
Because if the goal is simply “play classic Sonic,” there are SO many better ways to do it... ways that are way cheaper, take up way less space, and (most importantly) let you play these games in the form factor they were meant for: couch gaming, a controller in your hands, and that classic console vibe.
