Hello guys,

Ham Radio has got a lot of shapes and activities. This video is about RaDAR , Rapid Deployment Amateur Radio challenge, as preparedness exercise.This event is organized by the South African amateur radio operators and it’s getting wider spread accros the Atlantic and in Europe. The moving stations is the most appreciated category of participation. You can move by any means, pedestrian, bike, car, ship or even airplane - but you must be ready to rapidly deploy your station, make a few contacts and move on.

The equipment used could be any - QRP or 100W , as could be the antennas. I have tested out in this event my Go-Box based on YAESU FT-891 transceiver and my MFJ 5m long telescoping whip antenna on a magnetic mount on the roof of my car.
