In October 2015, ECCHR hosted a conference with the two former Guantánamo detainees Murat Kurnaz and Mourad Benchellali, their lawyers from Spain and France as well as representatives from the Center for Constitutional Rights, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International. Together they discussed recent developments in the US after the release of the CIA torture report in December 2014 as well as litigation in Europe.
