October 14th 2015 is the day I started playing Splatoon at a competitive level. I've had the game since launch but it wasn't until October that I joined a team and started playing seriously. From then I played the Octobrush solely to prove the weapon's worth to people and now thankfully the days of people considering it trash are long gone.
