It means 1 stick route with owl skip saves over 4 sec and pretty much even compared with 2 stick route.

There are 2 routes for child section of N64 AD/Ganonless: 2 stick route with castle before night and 1 stick route with castle after night. I timed it before and 1 stick route was 4.5 sec slower: youtu.be/I6Vstnlk1IA
But 1 stick route can save more 3 sec if you did owl skip because owl skip itself is almost same speed compared with no owl skip and you don't need to wait for gate is fully up for chain rupees. It means 2 stick route and 1 stick route are more close now. But of course this 3.3 sec timesave is the case you did enough fast and you would lose 9 sec if you failed owl skip. So I don't know if it's really worth to do for you.
