Strategy:
I took all of Lavian's, Alicia's, and Rad's equipment and told them they were not needed in my party. Then I took Agrias' and Gafgarion's equip and gave it to the more permanent members of the party (slots 2-5). I upgraded equipment at Dorter, at Gariland Magic City, and also went to Igros Castle to get updated Knight equipment, Javelins for the future Lancers. I avoided Barbutas (helmets), Mythril Vests, and Headgear because there are better items available soon after the next couple battles.

Battle 11: Dorter Trade City

{Knight (Vormav), Mercenary}

Knight: How about 500 gill [gil] per head?

Mercenary: Way too low. 2000. It's 2000 gill [gil] a head.

Knight: It would be easy to make all of you heretics, you know.

Mercenary: Is that a threat?...How about 1000 gill [gil]?

Knight: {Shaking his head} 700. No more.

Mercenary: OK. Done deal.

Knight: They'll be here any minute. Kill all of them. Understand?

{Gafgarion, Agrias, Ramza, and Ramza's team enter}

Knight: Ha, speak of the devil......There they are. Get them!

{Knight exits}

Mercenary: That's Gafgarion! Damn! 700 was too cheap!

{Mercenary whistles, his team appears}

Gafgarion: Ambush? Going all out, huh?

Agrias: If you don't like it, you can leave!

Gafgarion: I usually don't do freebies, but I'll make an exception.

Agrias: You patronizing...
