The Northern area of the mine can be accessed with the key I got from the room that was just occupied by the mysterious noises. Theres a workshop and some explosives handy, which is just my luck, since the path further into the mine is blocked by a cave-in. Not so lucky for me, though, that blasted dog followed me to the area.

Partizan +10 in hand, now its time to steamroll the rest of the Old Ones... but first there is an optional boss that we missed: Old Dragonslayer. He drops the Old Leo Ring, a perfect compliment to my thrusting weapon, so I decide to fetch that before continuing on and finishing up Tseldora with the giant spidder.

Fedris Hler, steward to Almalexia, has asked me to help him in regards to a secret goblin army that is apparently being trained under Godsreach by order of King Helseth. On the way through Godsreach, I meet a couple of characters whom I use my discretion whether or not to help.
The sewers under Godsreach are extensive and confusing, but following the goblin presence eventually leads me to discover their two warchiefs. Too bad I was unable to successfully locate the Altmer trainers; Fedris was kind of an ass about it.

Before leaving the lab, Ill have my first real duel with Aaron, who will reward me with only energy cards - useful for a deficient collector, but probably not worth revisiting. At least he allows me to pick the deck I wish to duel against. Once I leave the lab, Ill be able to visit any location on the world map: all of the clubs, the Pokémon Dome, the Challenge Hall, and some mysterious house.
