#04: Explosives Required Ahead

The Northern area of the mine can be accessed with the key I got from the room that was just occupied by the mysterious noises. There's a workshop and some explosives handy, which is just my luck, since the path further into the mine is blocked by a cave-in. Not so lucky for me, though, that blasted dog followed me to the area.

ABOUT THE GAME:

Penumbra: Overture (2007), by Frictional Games, is the first chapter of a survival horror series that preceded the more well-known game Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It features much of the same elements - a dynamic physics engine, gameplay that emphasizes puzzle-solving, and instilling psychological horror based on an inability to fight back against the game's monsters.

The story begins when our character, Philip, receives a mysterious letter from the father he never knew shortly after his mother's funeral. A series of clues leads Philip to an isolated part of Northern Greenland, where he begins searching for answers.
