Bruno Vk!! This experiment uses high voltage, experiment at your own risk and only if you know how to handle high voltage !!
I used that signal transformer because I wanted to show that we don't need more expensive tools to show us this Earth grounding currents.
3 key-points to all this experiments: 1) The higher the potential difference (voltage), the higher the Earth grounding current 2) The higher the rate of change of Volts in time(dV/dt ) of that potential difference, the higher the grounding current. 3) The amount of stored charge (Coulombs) is not helping us, rather causing a lower dV/dt with the result of less Earth grounding current, if I compare to same potential difference for the same circuit. (resistance of circuit could play a roll, higher local discharge current because of more charge stored charge will lead to more potential difference loss across that resistance (dV). So at the moment I can not exclude it completely.)
Some Quotes on the book that I'm now trying to understand: Quote1: The advantage of this apparatus was the delivering of energy at short intervals whereby one could increase activity, and with this scheme I was able to perform all of those wonderful experiments which have been reprinted from time to time in the technical papers. I would take energy out of a circuit at rates of hundreds or thousands of horsepower. In Colorado, I reached 18 million horsepower activities, but that was always by this device: Energy stored in the condenser and discharged in an inconceivably small interval of time. You could not produce that activity with an undamped wave. **** The damped wave is of advantage because it gives you, with a generator of 1 kilowatt, an activity of 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, or 5,000 kilowatts; whereas, if you have a continuous or undamped wave, 1 kilowatt gives you only wave energy at the rate of 1 kilowatt and nothing more. That is the reason why the system with a quenched gap has become popular. ****
Quote2: Thus, if you store in the condenser energy at the rate of 100 kilowatts, and then discharge it in oscillations of 250,000 per second, it means that you have to multiply these 100 kilowatts with 1 million; therefore, you have a 100 million kilowatt rate as the current discharges. **** So, all these effects which were produced, and which elicited, of course, great wonderment of the profession, were always produced by damped waves, because with the undamped waves it would not have been possible to attain any such activities. ****
So what are dampened/undamped waves? Quote3: I produced these continuous waves in several ways; but before I answer that question, let me define what a continuous or undamped wave means. That is so elastic a term, and there is such confusion in this respect, that unless I elucidate that a part of my remarks will not be understood. I have pointed to this already, and I have given a mechanical analogue by a bell. If you put a bell in mercury a dense, heavy medium, and you attempt to make this bell vibrate, you will find that, unless the blows of the hammer with which you try to keep the bell swinging are delivered in a very rapid succession, the vibrations of the bell will die out between the successive blows. But, **** if you take a bell and put it in a vacuum, with no resistance, with nothing to take up energy, then you can tap the bell once in every half hour and still it will ring with practically the same note, the same intensity. Therefore, before we talk of these continuous or undamped waves, we must realize what conditions there existed to keep up waves of this character. **** It makes a vast difference. In one apparatus the waves will die out quickly; in another one, they will not. Even when I operated as in some instances with a few of these hammer blows, even then, owing to the design of my circuit, the waves were practically continuous; but I have had several ways of obtaining absolutely undamped waves, irrespective of the manner in which the energy was taken out from them.
Result: So now I'm confused. According to the text undamped waves are free oscillations but it's not possible to get power amplification with them. This can only be if there's another technique or influence in the back ground like the short cutting of capacitor will induce Earth ground currents on a single connection to Earth ground.

In my previous video's with the charged capacitor I was more focused on Current in the Earth ground connection. In this video I'm going to show you that there's also a voltage spike at the same time.
When I change the polarity of the diode, it's not working anymore, so polarity is opposite to capacitor polarity.

In the video I'm talking about 30A but with the setting of the sparkgaps like in the video the current flow was ..only.. 21.7A Time duration is very small, this is just to look at the principal. We can also see that it can be repeated in time if our high voltage stays at the higher levels. There's much self discharge in the used capacitors so that voltage goes down quickly. I didn't see this behaviour with normal diodes (silicium) that I have, now we can see the pumping effect when I use spark gaps with diode working.
Extra note: Adding second plate I could get the 30A :)

The purpose of this video is to show you that very high current values can be triggered from Earth ground under the right conditions. Also important, it doesn't have to be a closed loop.

Earth ground connection consists of 4 times 2 bars of 1m20 in a square where distance between the bars = depth of the bars, so 2m40. Connection from my yard to inside is with 6mm² cable.

Because my NST was not a proper sine wave, I tried to build one. The result is shown in the video. This setup is not really one wire because even when spark gap is not firing, the diode makes a connection. However as you can see when spark gap is not firing, the trumpet wave builds up until 6KV and then the spark gap fires and things repeat themself. Earth ground current is still very low on average.I need to find high induction low impedance to get that current flow higher. Current flow is now only peak 86mV during trumpet wave build up, divided by 8 gives 10mA. This setup is just a start to study things. It´s nice to see the trumpet wave. The circuit: photos.app.goo.gl/PnQnNjYJKqDVdPTS9 The recuperation of the spike after mosfet switch of, is not necessary for the trumpet wave, only the high lighted part of the circuit and the fact that the rest of the circuit is floating in reference to Earth ground. Can a Leyden jar type capacitor limit influence to source?Bruno Vk2024-01-13 | When we look at plate capacitors then what happens on one side is copied to the other. A long time ago I saw a video where charging was done from inside where it was possible to use 1KV to charge up to 3KV. That was with static electricity. So I thought why not try and look if this is also the case when we use it in our systems; As you can see, this is not the case, the outside has it's influence to the inside.
It's the beginning of the setup: photos.app.goo.gl/GTTqA2J1cqXpAcVq8 What you see after the Leyden jar works, but have to look deeper into it.
If the influenced could be stopped then the Leyden jar like setup would also had been very handy for resonant tank circuits.Amplifying Earth ground currentBruno Vk2024-01-08 | I was trying if I could harvest the Earth ground current with flat pancake coil setup. Because I didn't know the exact length of the grey wire, I'm not sure if the black wire on outside is 1/4 length from the grey wire.
So I found 2 ways to amplify the ground current, even to a maximum level that my current probe can handle. The diode across spark gap is one and adding the flat pancake coils increased the peak levels of the ringing significantly.
Still searching for harvesting it correctly.Ambient Energy GeneratorBruno Vk2023-12-30 | !!! Warning, High voltage is used in this experiment !!! Only experiment if you know how to handle and at your own risk.
I'm a little bit early with the new year wishes, but I couldn't wait to share this to other experimenters, therefor I released the video :)
I found a way to have current amplification with the Ambient energy generator from Don Smith. The circuit shown in the video can be found at: photos.app.goo.gl/uRrTTadRuT66LoGU8
The NST is battery powered and not Earth ground connected. Spark gap is 800V.
The use of isolated plates gives wider pulse then with bare plate. There was not much amplitude difference between isolated and bare plate, so only longer pulse (with the plates I experimented with, please experiment for yourself)
- There's a limit to the amount of plates when you connect Earth ground to connection 1 in the circuit. However I could add that same extra plate when Earth ground connection was connected to point 2 in the circuit. - The bigger the plate... the bigger the :) - I have no idea what the maximum is of plates connected to point 1 with Earth ground connected to point 2, every smile has it's limits.. - Connection 1 and 2 can not be Earth ground at the same time. - First impression: Plate surface is more important then volume.MPPT tracking pcb to control output on resonant tank circuit.Bruno Vk2023-12-03 | This is the first time I use MPPT tracking, I still have to learn about the behaviour. 1) Shortcut capacitor Earth grounded on one side like in video: youtu.be/IuIvdoiC6rA

2) The faster the rate of change of the voltage (dV/dt) the higher the current.

Only experiment with shortcutting capacitor if you know how to handle !!!! This setup is only 10µF charged to 60V and I use leather gloves. Creating shortcut on same capacitor with higher voltage can be really dangerous. There can be a lot of energy stored inside a capacitor eventhough it's for example 10µF but charged to 400V.
When we shortcut a charged capacitor that is connected to one side with Earth ground, we see current flowing in the Earth ground connection. This picture shows you the results on low voltage setup: photos.app.goo.gl/NREkoAjbQ1xkBt4N7 That was done by manually switching.

Approximately 4mA is drawn from Earth ground. To exclude as much as possible motor influence I measured at 2 different distances, 1m and 6m. Scope was used with isolation transformer and nothing else from probes connected then the Tekbox RF current probe.
You can see signal difference in the ringing. I have no idea to the cause of that. The RF current probe can only measure AC. I can not check this low values with my AC-DC clamp because it has to be higher then 5mA to be able and measure and it also can only go to 500Khz (Pintek PA-655) while the TBCP1-200 can go to 200Mhz My CP-07+ AC/DC current probe can not fit around Earth grounding wire, the measurement opening is to small for the thick cable I use.
Without Earth grounding it also works, but it looks like the Earth ground adds a little more to the charging process.
The higher the voltage, the faster the capacitor charges.
The cold wire is just running through the metglas core, no loop is made.
It also works with the ring core with red and black speaker wire around it. The metglas core is more efficient. One Wire Transmitter, Influenced With DC OffsetBruno Vk2023-08-06 | When I was at a convention and saw the use of one wire transmitter in a self resonant setup, I emmediately thougth back on these experiments but also on what I experienced with the DC offset experiment not so long ago. This was because I was talking to a person who confirmed the positive influence of using the DC offset. So a big Thank you to all is in place for bringing on those things. One of my first experiments on self resonance : youtu.be/3qZ5rO_H9xw
This video: When I speak in the end of video of having less influence on square with the distance, I mean in reference to not using the DC offset. brightness will go down the further away from transmitter, but we have compensated much by the DC offset.
Adding receivers in between receiver at largest distance and transmitter without DC offset will also do that, but that is also the case with the DC offset, so distance could even be bigger when going that path. This is just basic setup to study the influence.

The circuit: photos.app.goo.gl/cyjs5q5aFMBEtHd392 Bat split the negative with window motorBruno Vk2023-06-11 | This circuit came into existence with the help of others, thank you for sharing about splitting the negative. Once I looked at polarities I saw I could use battery 2 also as the battery charged by the cold. So we have 2 charges coming in on bat 2, the 12V dc difference between - connection of dc-dc converter and - pole batterie 2, and the charging coming from the cold electricity. From now on I will call the spike coming back from motor coils the cold electricity and not the negative, otherwise it creates confusion with polarity. Splitting the negative is about polarity of input source.
Here are my test results with 2 batterie system with DC-DC converter and split the negative

That´s why I had less result when Earth ground connection was to close to ground connection of gate driver. The resonant frequency of that short loop was much higher.
In the setup you see in the video I have a parallel tank circuit connected with one side to Collector . I created parallel resonance by adding capacitor (2nF) so that it was tuned to other tank circuit.
The second tank circuit is created by coil which is connected from Emitor to ground of gate driver and internal capacity of IGBT and/or Gate driver.Switching 3 phase capacitor bankBruno Vk2023-05-21 | What's important in this video is that when we discharge one capacitor, for example through transformer. The other capacitor rises in voltage at the same time. When we want to use this system then we must keep in mind that polarity is reverse. By this I mean that if we look at the video to the white wire, then the constant connection has negative polarity if we measure in reference to the left side of the first capacitor and positive if we reference to right connection of that same capacitor. I see this useful for switching 2 transformer coil windings where we have a positive and negative voltage.Earth ground switchingBruno Vk2023-05-19 | In this setup I'm not using a power supply and only harvesting from environment. If this setup is placed in high voltage electric field, I think the result would be very nice :) The IGBT used is GW30N120KD, if you look at the datasheet it has very fast switching speeds. The switching off takes the longest and if you calculate that it''s around 2Mhz that max is possible, the switching on is faster and that should go to 4Mhz (I'm not a specialist in this, I can interprete the datasheet wrong so please look into it for yourself, however you can see in the video 1.5Mhz works fine) Scope is not Earth grounded and has 1:1 transformer in the power supply.Extra info on Earth ground switchingBruno Vk2023-05-19 | This type of connection gives less influence by the scope and in the setup here results in higher output because the resonant frequency is higher due to less capacity (small capacity twisted wires in series with capacity of scope probe)2023 Ch2 How Things Are MeasuredBruno Vk2023-01-13 | This video belongs to a document I'm creating with overview of my experiments. Nr2: Adding second capacitor in parallel Result: I didn't notice much difference in charging time but could not make a graph with scope because the scope influenced the results (extra plate to the circuit) End voltage was approx the same but resonant frequency was little bit lower.
Nr3: Adding sparkgap across diode and see at result with led on transformer Result: It was possible to fire the sparkgap and light up the capacitor while still charging the capacitor at the same rate.
Nr4: Remove some extra components to make drawing more clear
Nr5: Added the 2 capacitors that are formed between casing and one plate of the 100µF capacitor (2 isolated plates means end result = 3 caps in total)
Nr6: Setup suggested by magncity1817 where we only use 1 diode Result: The circuit works the same but we loose the charging of 100µF capacitor while it has no influence on brightness of output led (resonant frequency can shift a little). This means that we have the charge stored inside capacitor as extra available energy without the need to add more input.02 Charging capacitor from Earth Ground based on Zilano circuit.Bruno Vk2022-12-18 | In this video I show you how I came to placing the diode in between our capacitor that s been charged from Earth ground or Ether (I have no clue what the exact source is, I only see it works :) )
I know there are some contradictions with the Faraday Ice pail setup because I'm using the source on outside of what is the pail from Faraday. But I also tried things out that way by connecting the source on one plate on inside, so one plate of the 100µF capacitor part. I couldn't realize however the decoupling between source and harvesting circuit.
The basic idea I started with is the question: can I decouple harvesting part from source part by using charging from the inside like in the Faraday ice pail experiment? I have done more experiments then what I show in the video, but I found the results now achieved so interesting that it ended in a video.
As I also show in the video, the diodes don't have rectifying influence on our source signal because of open loop (again I can be wrong that it's the correct reason) Whatever is the correct explication, it granted me to realize I could work from the capacitor properties of a diode in blocking mode. So that's why I placed a 20pF capacitor instead of the 2 diodes and even had better output voltage.
The reason why I think that the capacitor gave better result is that it's an impedance in both directions while the diodes are in pass through in one direction. However I'm not sure because we don't experience rectifying properties added by the diodes in this setup (shown by measuring the field around capacitor) When moving the scope probe from LC tank circuit to capacitor, I first see the signal strength go down and go up again once closer to capacitor, so what I'm measuring is not he source field that's just weakened by the distance (I should have payed more attention to that in the video)
If I then go deeper and look at impedance values, automatically the question comes: is it all impedance related and doesn't it play a roll whether I use resistor, capacitor, coil as long as the impedance is around 8.5 Kohm??Charging capacitor from Earth Ground based on Zilano circuit.Bruno Vk2022-12-11 | ...One wire: Solution to what we bring into resonance, the led internal electronics.Bruno Vk2022-11-20 | What I brought in resonance is the led internal electronics.
Strange that even with transformer in between that resonant frequency was kept the same. How could the nodes and antinodes be the same on the primary side of transformer, because I thought we need to have them at correct places to have a voltage available on the primary of transformer to have output on the secondary coil. One wire, live change of partsBruno Vk2022-11-20 | Circuit: photos.app.goo.gl/JuT9nMf4bFHf2RTj8
I experimented with the one wire today and I noticed that the coil used is of no influence to the resonant frequency of the one wire system. So you can guess how surprised I was. So then the question came to me: what are we bringing into resonance? The only common parts are the plates and my input connections.
