I almost ran out of time and I had to rush some stuff, but I was able to get some good practice in. Focused more on just generating movement and less on making things smooth. MLP Walk Cycle Practice: Pinkie Pie TurnipStewdios 2021-11-14 | My third "walk" cycle animation for pony characters! I'm really happy with how this one turned out, except the final version turned out blurry. Again. I can't figure out how to stop that from happening, and it's a problem on the Rarity and Twilight animations too. I've been trying different formats, editing techniques, and canvas sizes, but I cant seem to fix it. It's driving me nuts. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. (program details below)Anyway. Now way was I not going to draw Pinkie bouncing. This was awesome to work on, and I feel like I'm finally getting the hang of something vaguely resembling loose, flowy animation. A big problem I've had with past work is it being to stiff. Added more squash and stretch this time too. It seemed appropriate. I had to simplify her from my original design sheet, but I think it worked out fairly well. AJ will be up next. I want to get her done before I move on to the pegasi, who will be by far the hardest. Though, I'm tempted to try an alicorn at some point. MLP Walk Cycle Practice: Rarity TurnipStewdios 2021-09-19 | Another MLP walk cycle! Did rarity this time, and it went a lot smoother than the first one with Twilight did. I learned a ton from that, and even more from this one. The only reason it took as long as it did was because I had other work to do. Rarity's design is way simpler in theory, but she has a lot of flowy hair bits that I struggled to make bounce convincingly. The highlights in particular still wobble and float around a bit. Doing the feathering on the hooves flipping up when she steps was super fun though. I also gave her a different, showier gait from Twilight's basic walk, and I'm hoping to make any future animations of other characters different as well. MLP Walk Cycle Practice: Twilight Sparkle TurnipStewdios 2021-08-28 | Animated in PhotoshopI know this is a bit different from my usual subject mater on the channel, but I've wanted to do some MLP animations for a while now. A lot of my work over on DeviantART is MLP related, and I wanted something to bridge the gap. I ALSO wanted to do some basic walk cycles as practice exercises so I figured I'd just go for it! Also, sorry for the lack of audio. I couldn't find any music to go with this that wasn't just painfully generic, so boring silence it is. I picked Twilight cause she's nether the simplest or the most complex of the mane six. She's a good middle ground. I think if I do her again I will remove the little stripes on the legs and tail though. They were really time consuming to get in the right places. Would anybody like to see more of these? The theme and color pallet for this looked fun, so I gave it a shot. Of course, the "get it done quickly" part didn't go according to plan, as I ended up frantically running around on various family road trips for a while. But oh well. It was fun.

I've been using almost all of my personal drawing time to work on animations, and my other work has kinda suffered for it. So I'm going to take a break for a while. I want to work on my own projects for a bit!

The song's fantastic, and the character designs/concept are stylish af. I had to give it a go. It served as a nice relaxing project to fall back on in-between commissions and my other MAP parts too.

I figured it's be a great way to try out working with a strict script and character designs. Learned a few new tweening tricks while I was at it. Hopefully next time, I'll feel brave enough to try an actual animation part. I'm going to take a break from MAP parts for a bit so I can catch up on commissions and some personal projects. That doesn't necessarily mean there wont be any more animations for a while though. I've found that I really enjoy this! I'd like to try some practice animations, some OCs, or maybe an animation meme. No grantee of when the next video will be out, but I'll get something put together eventually!

Working on Pride Adoptables TurnipStewdios 2020-06-11 | Hello again, sorry for the long gap betwean uploads. after my last video, my recording prograhm stapped working altogether. Today, it just as randomly started again, and I was able to get a good session in. I'll try to keep it up, but I don't feel like I can make any promises. I've been working on a very special project for the last few days. I currently have a set of Pride-themed adoptables up for auction over on Deviantart. Most of the money from said adoptables will be going to charity! These two characters here will be part of a second batch, along with four others that I will record if I can.
