Details for nerds: I'm developing in C#.Net/Mono using VS15 and Xamarin Studio. My OpenGL/AL/CL wrapper is OpenTK and I'm not using any external libraries other than OpenTK's math library (I might incorporate a font library in the future; currently I'm rendering text with a simple bitmap font, which isn't shown in this demo). All code and visuals are done by me. My code doesn't use any WinAPI references, so it's capable of being multi-platform (for Windows, Linux/Unix and Mac). Tested so far on Win7, Win8 and Ubuntu with AMD card, Nvidia card and Intel HD Graphics, respectively.

Not mentioned in the video, but since this mod only modifies the BlockSand class, it should be fairly compatible with most other MCP mods. Optifine, all 3 tickSpeed mods (mine, Panda's and Cubitect's), my RS Debug mod, and Village Marker mod are all confirmed, but likely most mods of this nature will be compatible. Just to share the fun around, I modified the server jar as well. Another note is that this should be compatible with all versions of 1.8, as I doubt they modified the BlockSand class. If they've modified anything with FallingSand entities, they've likely modified the abstract BlockFalling class, rather than BlockSand. Point is, this should work with later sub-versions of 1.8, but isn't confirmed to do so.

Hey guys! Sharir1701 here and today I showcase my Redstone Debug Mod, which enables you to very precisely measure timings for redstone components and circuits. It also helped me discover something very stupid about redstone dust, which has likely been in the game since the block was first added in Alpha 1.0.1. It causes major lag on servers (including local SinglePlayer "servers"), and is easy to fix. Link above to upvote this on the bug tracker. Enjoy and let me know!
UPDATE: I've changed some things in the mod as follows (for reference): - Deprecated pistons and sticky pistons (didn't seem useful enough) - Fixed bug with /print tickCount setZero preventing updates to repeaters and torches - Added option to print a message at the start and end of each gametick - Changed from printing totalWorldTime (in ticks) to a custom tickCounter (in ticks). This enables easier manipulation, as well as generally smaller and nicer numbers :)

Comparison to Panda's mod: Cons: Normal speed, bad looking graphics (and sfx) Only works in SP Isn't fancy (uses /gamerule) Probably won't be the version that is added to the game (hint hint - slime blocks)
Pros: More compatibility with other mods Ability to freeze the world (but not your client) Normal client speed, much more comfortable to perform tests this way Idiot proof - should never crash your game Saved with world (makes stopping and looking at MCEdit, then coming back less likely to change the outcome) When speeding up, since only the server speeds up, it may speed up faster than if your client would also be sped up (as in Panda's mod)

This farm introduces a new concept for witch farming, which is what we call "toggle-state" shifting floors. Drastically reducing the amount of Block36 at any given point in time, halving the idle time of every slice per-witch, this concept is really quite promising. This is our design, having been worked on for a very long amount of time, and even approved by RedstoneSpire, this is, currently, probably the best witch farm out there in terms of efficiency and production rates. For reference, produces about 0.5%-1% more drops-per-hour than Spire's farm (around 7,560 on average from one hut), getting pretty much to the hard limit, as Spire discussed in his video, of witch farming possibility.

I hope I'll be able to repeat this feeling in the future. Enough about that... I have for you guys today another Redstone Tutorial, in which I teach you how to make a black Beacon, survival friendly. As a consequence, I had to invent a new little Redstone device that I call the Speed Buff Detector. I use this device in conjunction with a little bit of very simple Redstone, a few pistons and a beacon, to create a never before achieved goal - survival friendly, easy to setup, BLACK beacon beams. I worked for about 8 hours on this and was so enthusiastic I finally had a working and reliable version that I couldn't wait and made the video, even though I was sick, which is clear and sounds bad in the video, and also caused a lot of trouble in the production process. Edit: This was, of course, made before colored beacon beams were added (+ beacon timings and behavior were changed) in the 1.8 update, so it's mostly useless now, but still an interesting concept.

The amount of redstone needed for each number N is generally 14*(N-1), with some exceptions. The full list noted by (N-amount of items needed): (0-0),(1-1),(2-14),(3-28),(4-42),(5-55),(6-69),(7-83),(8-96),(9-110).
