Using my frequently asked questions about growing Parlor palms, I put together a heavily detailed care video for this lovely indoor palm. I can't really give this thing my stamp of approval so I have chosen not to link it until I have had it for a while. After getting the new patio furniture set up I of course covered it in outdoor lights to make it more of a romantic outdoor retreat in the evening. Something so calming and relaxing about all of the lights. The solar lights aren't that great, very dim and just kinda meh. Cold Hardy Tropical Plants / Unique Plants For Cold Climates 2023 Tropical Plant Party 2023-07-26 | Tropical plant dupes! I have wanted to make a video for a long time focusing on plants that give that nice tropical look, but can also survive the cold. Here is a list of 25 (actually way more) cold hardy tropical plants. While cold hardy bananas and cold hardy palm trees are the standard for a tropical looking garden, there are a ton of plants that have unique characteristics to give any garden an exotic look. Most of the plants in this list are good in zone 6 and some into zone 4 and five. I suggest researching each that you are interested in growing to determine if you will need to protect them and to what degree. Planting More Tropicals & Beach Style Summer Planters! Saturday Vlog Tropical Plant Party 2023-06-03 | In the garden I moved the sunpatiens to make room for planting a row of heliconias / false bird of paradise and an alpinia zerumbet variegata. In the adonidia palm planter I put in a lime zinger xanthosama as well as a couple of sunpatiens. In the queen palm planter I moved the Musa Florida / varigated banana tree to make room for some trailers and some curcuma ginger corms. The verbenas planted in the queen palm planter and adonidia planter are, Suberbena Peachy Keen, Superbena Imperial Blue and Superbena Pink Shades. All three are excellent Verbenas from Proven Winners. I also planted a pink dragon wing begonia and two of the Tropical Storm Colocasias. In the Beach style planters I planted Cora Cascade Strawberry trailing Vinca and Mediterranean Strawberry Trailing Vinca. There is one Tattoo Orange Vinca and two Rhoeo discolor / oyster plants. The mini vinca are the catharanthus soiree kawaii pink and catharanthus soiree kawaii blueberry kiss.
