However, by the time these complaints were voiced I had already spent money on a costume and a recast on both the audio and video levels would have set my productivity back far greater than my already very fragile and compulsive mental state could handle at the time. That is obviously not an excuse, and going forward I plan to make more of a conscious effort in regards to proper ethnic casting, but it should also be stated that a lot of the production process (recording and filming specifically) was overseen and aided by my girlfriend Jesse who is Colombian and who I trust to have called me out if my performance bordered on offensive or a misrepresentation of the culture. Johnny Test vs Caillou - Terrible Rap Battles of Comic Sans Snakebite126 2020-04-11 | -OH MY GOD I'M FINALLY FINISHED THIS TOOK FOREVER JEEZUS!Thanks for tooning in to another episode of Terrible Rap Battles of Comic Sans! Considering it's Good Friday today, what better way to celebrate than with the spawn of Satan himself. Today, we have fart master and expert whipcracker, Johnny Test, rapping against four year old and embodiment of evil, Caillou, to see which cartoon character will prevail. This one was a lot of fun to make. The Caillou bald cap (it's a new one, the old one was laid to rest with Krampus) started to really hurt my ears after a while, but I endured the pain for my craft. This one was a huge pain to get out though. The Caillou costume ended up delaying the filming process, as did my procrastination. Eventually, I was left with Thursday and Friday to edit (besides the first four lines). With a longer/more FX heavy battle like this, it wasn’t the most fun to edit, but I think it came out phenomenally. I still don’t know how I did that black eye thing with Caillou. I think I’m improving heavily at editing and I can’t wait to see what future projects look like. However, improving at my craft and getting things out in a small amount of time are hard to do simultaneously. What was originally planned for a 6-7 release ended up barely coming out at 9:45. I had to make a downgraded version of the thumbnail, which I finished and uploaded to YT mere seconds before it uploaded. It didn’t help that Rocko (@kpark1021) and I were on a Discord call and he was rushing me the whole time. But it came out very good imo for the time I had.Huge thanks to Freshy Kanal for mixing this. I think the final audio sounds incredible (especially with my...ahem..."improvements" *whip*). A couple of months ago when the first half of the season was ending, I would never be able to imagine that the community would find my stuff, let alone receive it the way they did with Gomez vs The Mad Hatter (happy 1K views btw!). It’s incredible that I’ve been given the opportunity to work with people like Dustin (who makes some of the best rap battle content on YouTube btw) and help make TRBoCS the best it can be.I finally got to put Caillou in a battle in other news. My friends and I have been memeing tf out of Caillou since 5th grade so it’s kind of surprising that he only debuts now.
