The Night Sky is a curated list of deep sky targets, planets and other events that happen in our night skies during February in the Northern Hemisphere.All targets are split into focal length ranges and are based off of a full frame camera sensor. I Compared A Hydrogen Filter Against A Dual Narrowband Filter AstroFarsography 2022-08-30 | In this video I'm going to compare a ZWO 7nm Hydrogen Alpha filter against the 7nm Dual Narrowband Optolong L-eXtreme filter.However in this video I'm going to just compare the Hydrogen-Alpha channels during a Full Moon. The reason why I chose Full Moon is because people often use Hydrogen-Alpha filters during Moon phases in order to cut through the Moon glow.Bare in mind this is a dedicated Hydrogen-Alpha filter vs a Dual-narrowband filter and NOT a ZWO vs Optolong filter for example.I'm going to be comparing the Moon glow resistance, contrast as well as signal-to-noise ratio. How To Clean Telescope Optics AstroFarsography 2021-06-20 | How To Clean Telescope Optics is a question often asked. We see our lens or mirror getting grubby and rush to polish it to a reflective shine once more. In truth we shouldn't clean our optics that often, but if they're really bad, really dusty or are beginning to impact image quality then it's time to clean.In this video I'll walk you through my workflow from start to finish in only a few steps. Cleaning a refractor can take but a couple minutes, a large Newt will take longer. This process could also work on the corrective plates for Maks and SCTS.
