After around 5 months I have finally released possibly my new best 1.0 level to date! This level uses only objects, triggers, and editor movements found from the 1.0 update with the exception of the song trigger. Although not from 1.0, robtop would splice up the songs he would plan on using to make it more suited for the game. Since this series is a parody off of the main 7 levels, I thought the usage of this trigger would be a fine exception to this stark limitation.
This is an entry into RavingRafters cc2 "Call of the Wild" representing Forest and Moon magic. This level is also a sequel to my level "EnVious", which became the first featured 1.0 level in 2.2! In gratitude, I hosted the 1.0 creator contest, which got wildly popular! Go check out the results for that if you haven't, they are mind-blowing. Due to being the 6th in the series, this level is a parody of Cant Let Go, and since the chosen player color was purple, I focused a lot of magical features and additions, really trying to portray the majestic and mysterious aura of the Fluorescent Forests land and sky. Perhaps even more impressive is that I managed to optimize the level under 40k objects, my first level to do so since Golden Haze!
Its recommended that you use Purple color 13 for player color 1 when playing this level to help sell the night-magic theme more, but any color will work just fine! Special shout-outs to NnolokK, GeometryPuffs, and MusixGD for all the work that they spent testplaying to make sure this level plays the best it can without secret ways!
Through limitations one can find unlimited creativity~ I hope you enjoy Fluorescent Forests!
Footage recorded by me using OBS Video made in CapCutTHIS LEVEL WOULD HAVE PLACED! | Hiding In My Room by NnolokKSkullyHop GD2026-01-16 | As the title states, this level would have been the true 15th place in my 1.0 creator contest. However, only one level from each creator would place, and NnolokK's level Tiny Ballerina placed higher at 13th.
This level is incredible! Extremely creative and surreal designs around easily accessible gameplay makes this an enjoyable experience for any type of player. Its hard to believe that some of these designs and sections were made with only 1.0 blocks! All of the themes present here, from the mindscape to a carnival to a bedroom are so so well done! Definitely a cool level you all should try and I am very glad to see that it got rated during the contest! :D

StarCarr did a really nice job selling the lava/fire theme of the level while keeping it fresh throughout the many parts included. The gameplay of this is absolute heat, syncing to the music extremely well and being a blast to play! The sync is also fantastic, really leading to a great player experience when playing it.
The only drawbacks this level had when being judged was that the decoration can come off as a bit simple in some sections as well as creativity not being as utilized as some other levels. Regardless, though, this level is awesome and I hope to see it get rated soon. Give it a play if you havent!

Footage recorded by me Video made in CapCutTHIS 1.0 LEVEL MADE ME CRY | Farewell Star Chaser by EPMCSkullyHop GD2026-01-14 | NOTE: This is a spliced run for showcasing purposes. NOT A LEGIT COMPLETION!
This level scored 14th place in my 1.0 creator contest, as well as being the only level to make me actually sob once I finished it in practice for the first time. The story behind the creation of this project is heartfelt, about a childhood dog who had passed away and is now in a higher, better place chasing stars instead of sticks or balls. The artistic designs throughout this level help solidify the melancholy emotional drive the player experiences, with tombstones, rain, bridges, lampposts, and (most importantly) stars, including a section where you get to chase them yourself before the level concludes. The gameplay is also decently well done in this, although it can be a bit inconsistent.
Although I do think the visual composition could have been better handled, as well as some more sync to the music being used, this level has won its way into my heart ~ HIGHLY recommend giving this a play yourself.

Footage recorded by me Video made in CapCutPRETTY 1.0 | Tiny Ballerina by NnolokKSkullyHop GD2026-01-13 | This level got 13th place in my creator contest as well as the GJJ award. When I first hosted this contest, I genuinely thought people would emulate my style of 1.0 creation, which were themed levels that specified a P1 color named after their song. To my surprise, there weren't as many as I expected, and this level was the best of those that tried this.
What a creative idea for a 1.0 level! I really appreciate the amount of time that went into the pretty aesthetic for this level. All of the arts are extremely well done and the entire level works with the music perfectly. Execution overall is just very well done, and the hot pink player color is utilized well. There for sure could have been more to fill in some of the space, but otherwise a fantastic level that I would adopt into my GJJ series if that was possible. Give this one a play as its really easy for its awarded 4 star rate.

Come join and chill :)MY FAVORITE 1.0 CC LEVEL! | ManiacDan Holiday by ManiacDanSkullyHop GD2026-01-12 | This level got 12th place in my contest and is also my favorite! It didn't used to be though. When I first played it I appreciated the insane progression that the level offered (and how it starts from the ground and goes to the height limit), but its only after several replays that I realized how insanely well done every element was in this project. The level really really grew on me. Even though the deco starts off simple and some of the gameplay spots can be wonky, this level shows a creation journey from start to finish and works very well with its song. It REALLY emulates the innovation/feelings from the level it took naming inspiration from: Funnygame Holiday.
I cannot recommend this level enough, and its a crime that this hasn't been rated yet. Give this a play or two, really experience the nuance and subtle details that ManiacDan Holiday has to offer. You will not be disappointed.

The ideas and execution of said ideas in this level are awesome! For reference a lot of the 1.0 techniques that you see other levels use (such as colored portal clusters) were done in this level first. So many unique designs and themes were explored with great cohesion regardless. Very fun level to play through too! I will say that the ending section does look a bit odd and empty due to the player color blending with the bright bgs, but other than that a fantastic project!

Footage recorded by me Video made in CapCutTHE BEST 1.0 DESIGNS! | Technomancer by 1MadJack1SkullyHop GD2026-01-09 | THIS IS A SPLICED RUN, NOT A LEGITIMATE COMPLETION!
This level got 10th place in my 1.0 creator contest, and I must say I do believe it was robbed of a higher place. The visuals in this level are some of the best Ive ever seen in any GD level period! Extremely well-executed and beautiful without being overly cluttered or boring. The 3D pad shapes especially are insane with how 1MadJack1 was able to make them. If this contest was judged based solely off decoration, I believe this would have sweeped easily!
Unfortunately the biggest takeaway from this level is its gameplay, especially the ship sections. Each part alone plays fine, but when combined the level becomes very unbalanced. The level was requested for 9*, but in all honesty this is a Medium Demon due to a few major chokepoints (hence why this is a spliced video). Regardless, this level is an incredible feat of 1.0 designs, and I HIGHLY recommend giving it a play yourself. A lot of said designs get wreaked by Youtube's quality.

Footage recorded by me Video made in CapCut1.0 TIME TRAVEL | Horlogier by Y0lSkullyHop GD2026-01-05 | This level scored 9th in my creator contest. Showcasing off time and traveling through time in a very unique and fun manner, this level captures its theme very well and creates an immersive experience. The arts are simpler but do a great job showing off said time theme, and the ending recap where you go through a time machine to experience every previous section of the level is brilliant! I do think that many sections feel very open and could have used more detailing but still really well done nonetheless.
The level has over 30 sends now so hopefully it can get a rate soon. Do give this one a play.

Footage recorded by me Video made in CapCutHEAVENLY 1.0?! | Skyfallen Reliquary by SoumpeixeSkullyHop GD2026-01-04 | This level received 8th place in my contest, as well as perfect scores from 2 of the judges! Jam-packed with incredible designs and breath-taking decoration, Skyfallen Reliquary is a very energetic trip through some of the craziest gameplay made for this contest. The level is so detailed that every attempt there is something new to notice, and although it can feel messy at times, at no point does the deco feel out of place or improper. The gameplay is very unique, zipping the cube up and down and everywhere through the reliquary.
There are a few issues that I noticed regarding this level that may explain why it didn't get a higher placement: at times due to the visuals, the gameplay can be very hard to follow. I have also encountered several bugs related to the strange gimmicks used. I also got the idea that a couple of the judges did not like the complex design of the decoration as it can come off as overdone/messy. Regardless, a fantastic experience for anyone who loves complex decorations and gameplay. Definitely show this one some love!

With an awesome atmosphere, theme, and color, Into The NIght Sky is a nostalgic journey into the stars. Every section flows smoothly into the next, and is stylistically similar to how I design my own 1.0 levels. I really like how well the level works with its song, as well as how fun the gameplay is over its entire length. It really feels like an immersive experience playing through it, so as always give this one a playthrough.

Unlike a lot of levels for the 1.0 creator contest, this level didn't have any flashy visuals or over-the-top decoration. The levels approach moreso stuck to the basics and instead perfected them, and proved it to be very effective. Both the gamepaly and sync in this level are top-notch and very fun to play through. The level works in hand with the song like a glove. The visuals, although simpler, add a lot to the project and are super cleanly done. Put together, this level provides an excellent package of a fun, visually clean experience. Give this one some support if you havent yet.

This entry flew a bit under the radar compared to most, which meant it was not a top 5 pick. It definitely, though, deserved more attention than it got! Representing Cataclysmic events, the energy is unmatched with all of the background flashing and visual motion coming from a lot of the blocks. The gameplay is intense, yet fair for the requested difficulty, really helping sell the frenetic atmosphere the level uses to match with its song. The ending parts of this level are very atmospheric, showing off the remnants (cinders) of the apocalyptic event that just occured (A Cataclysm perchance). The level demonstrates mastery over energy and environmental storytelling, especially impressive as this was their first time working with 1.0 limitations. Definitely give this one a play-through!

With mind-blowing effects, crazy-detailed art, and a fantastic core design, this level is well-regarded as one of the best of its kind, really pushing the limits of what was possible using only 1.0 limitations! I am a huge fan of the visuals in this project, with the chain/shadow background blowing my mind when I saw it for the first time! I am, though, not as big a fan of the gameplay. It plays perfectly fine, but sometimes the recommended player color makes it impossible to see yellow orbs/pads that might be upcoming. Overall a MASSIVE 1.0 project that tested the boundaries of what was possible through maximum effort from the creator (Over 100 editor hours from what I was told!). If you have not played this level yet, go do so!

Intricately-detailed blocks and incredible dot-art litters throughout creating an immersive yet extremely clean factory atmosphere. The song and gameplay really help make it feel like you are creeping behind the scenes of this facility, almost Film Noire style.
This was the level that I personally gave the highest score to in the contest and remains my 2nd favorite from the contest as well. Everything is just perfectly laid-out and executed extremely well! The only problem I have is that the ship parts push the envelope for the levels difficulty (9*), but after a practice run or two its fine. HIGHLY recommend giving this level a try!

Its easy to see why. A masterclass in thematic designs tied together in an incredible atmosphere and journey! The last ship section had my jaw on the floor with how crazy its effect was! Really impactful trick ending as well. The gameplay in this level is also very good, with the biggest issues being the section around 21%.
Honestly this level would have been 1st by a fair bit had it used its 1.0 features more strictly. Unfortunately, due to layering, going past the ceiling to achieve the floating ship effect, and some micro-movements, this level *just* missed SPICED by a few points. Regardless, this is definitely a 1.0 project you need to experience to really understand how incredible it is, so I HIGHLY recommend checking it out yourself!

In celebration of how huge my 1.0 creator contest had gotten, my discord server felt it would be a great opportunity to host an official 1.0-limitation gigacollab. After seeing a lot of interest in it, I commissioned fellow 1.0 builder and composer @nnolokk to write a song for this project, and with a few logistics figured out, the collab went underway with building.
There are a total of 138 builders who are featured in this, with a total build-time of around 2 months (~13 builders every 3 days). I should note that there was no auditioning or building standards when gathering the builders: Anyone who was involved with the discord or participated in the contest was allowed to build in the gigacollab! I even managed to get Cody, one of the OG 1.0 builders, to build a part as well! :D
The purpose behind this collaboration was to not only celebrate the resurgence of 1.0 through the contest, but also as a way to showcase off the diverse stylistic differences there are within the 1.0 update. There isn't a right or wrong way to build, even in spite of the updates restrictions. The only restriction is your own creativity ~
I want to give a HUGE thank you to NnolokK who not only wrote this banger song but also helped me regarding the quality control/redecoration efforts. I also want to extend a huge thank you to my playtesting team who made sure the collaboration was balanced for everyone to enjoy! Their names can be found below.
The last big thank you extends to @ravingrafters for botting and recording this showcase! It turned out EXCELLENT and I am extremely grateful for their time/energy they put in :) Check out their channel here to see more awesome recordings: youtube.com/@ravingrafters
Verification will be done by myself hopefully through youtube streams over the next few days! It will then be uploaded for the public to play! With that being said, I hope that you enjoy our enormous project!

After over 6 months I have released my best 1.0 level to date.
This level is also a sequel to my level "Tech Drive Circuit", which got rated and a ton of support! Thank you all again for that! Due to being the 5th level in the series, this level is a parody of Base After Base, and since the color was green I focused on features that act similarly to how a green orb works from update 2.2. Due to this, the gameplay is highly experimental and is the most difficult 1.0 level I've made thus far. A practice run is therefore recommended. This is my best 1.0 level yet, and it has even been optimized down to under 55k objects!
Its recommended that you use Green for player color 1 when playing this level to help sell the Alien theme more, but any color will work. I also want to give a special shoutout to NnolokK, Netfedex, and SkorchXP for all the work they spent testplaying to make sure this level plays well, doesn't have secret ways, and isn't unfair to play. Y'all helped make this level shine!

Since this series is a parody off of the main 7 levels, I thought the usage of this trigger would be a fine exception to this stark limitation.
This level is also a sequel to my level "Polar Plunge", which saw an incredible amount of support and 19 moderator sends! Thank you all so much for that! Due to being the 4th level in the series, this level uses features only found from the main level Dry Out, introducing both the yellow and blue gravity portals and using them creatively throughout the level. This very well may be my best 1.0 level yet, and its even been optimized down to under 60k objects! :D
Its recommended that you use Red for player color 1 when playing this level to help sell the Tech/Racing theme more. Other colors may look out of place, especially if its white or a color close to it. Thanks!

This level is also a sequel to my level "Goodbye Summer". As such, this level uses features only found from the main level Polargeist, introducing the yellow jump ring used creatively for sync throughout the level. This is by far the most visually impressive 1.0 level I have created, and also has the most amount of objects used due to that (over 80k). I do think that it is worth it, though, and I'll try to keep the object count down for future 1.0 projects.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you use Light Blue for player color 1 when playing this level to help sell the icy theme more. Other colors may look out of place. Thanks!

Here is a fun project that NnolokK and I made last Christmas: A theme and variations on the classic Christmas tune "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas". I started with a simple piano performance and we alternated making variations, leading to this song as the final result. Overall really happy with how it turned out so I hope that you enjoy it too. And have a happy holidays as well! Thank you!

This level uses only objects, triggers, and editor movements found from the 1.0 update. It is also a sequel to my previous 1.0 level Golden Haze. As such, this level uses features only found from the main level Back on Track, introducing the yellow jump pad used in unique ways throughout the level. Another characteristic is the use of player color being orange, which is able to give a 2 tone color when you stack it (orange to yellow). Some art is also done through stacking the default top-line block and moving it down, making the ability to have 4 colors at my disposal (black, white, orange, and yellow). This will unfortunately be the only time that I'll have access to this (no other player colors do the dual-tone feature when stacked) so I tried to make the most of it here.
*IMPORTANT* You MUST use Orange for player color 1 when playing this level due to its dual-tone properties. Otherwise this level will look out of place and confusing. Thanks!

This level uses only objects, triggers, and editor movement found from the 1.0 update. It also only uses gameplay elements found within Stereo Madness (no orbs/jump pads). Features a unique gimmick in vertical block boosts found throughout the level. There are also 3 hidden "coins" to find, so be sure to give it a thorough look!
*Important*: You must use Yellow for player color 1 when playing this level. Thanks!

Music made in GarageBand Logo created by me Cover art created and provided by NnolokK (Thank You!) Video constructed in iMovieCabin Escape by Skullyhop (Me) | Geometry Dash 2.2SkullyHop GD2023-12-26 | Well, here is my first (and maybe only) 2.2 level. I started this a day after 2.2 came out and worked nonstop on it for 6 days straight to get it completed.
The premise of this project is an escape map similar to the point-and-click ones you could find on the web. You collect items and interact with your surroundings to find a way to escape. For my level, the setting is an old abandoned cabin up north that has its power out. The cube must escape the cabin, get into the cellar, and turn on the power to escape out the locked gates at the front. With that being said, this level works best if you play it before watching the video, so make sure to do that first :)
This level turned out to be quite an infuriating project to make. Trying to put in all the interactions between all the various elements while also finishing this as fast as possible so someone doesn't do this idea first, I spent hours learning and being confused about the various features and fixing a ton of visual and technical bugs. I mightve lost my soul in the process of making this haha, so I really hope that you enjoy my project and that it can get at least a rate.
Various other sounds were provided by use in Geometry Dash Project made in iMovie[Read Description] Ghosts N Ghourls by SkullyHop (Me) | Geometry Dash 2.1SkullyHop GD2023-10-15 | Surprise! Because of the announcement of 2.2 soon, I decided to find the time to finish off 1 more project before the end of 2.1, this one being the prequel to Danse Macabre (my first rated level). This project was originally started 2 years ago (around the time of my level Omega Lily Pad) so the art featured throughout is reminiscent of that time period. Only recently did I find the will to get this completed. Over 70% of this level was built on bus rides to and from my college campus, and it took me about 3 months to complete once I found my inspiration again. This was a blast to make, so I hope that you have as much fun playing it as I did making it.
Lore of the Level: The old haunted mansion on the hill is alit with bright lights and music fills the air. You're beckoned inside and see a party of sorts, filled with what appears to be cute girls in Halloween costumes and friendly ghosts who love to dance. The atmosphere beckons you further, deeper, within the walls. But everything is not quite as it seems... Unbeknown to you, everything was an elaborate trap. The cute girls and friendly monsters were nothing more than hoaxes: cardboard cutouts, animatronics, even marionettes. All designed to fool you and entice you deeper into your own doom by the spirits who lurk within the mansion walls. Do you dare delve deep enough to learn the mansion's secrets? Are you brave enough to come out alive?
This level is designed to lead directly into my first featured level, Danse Macabre. In that level, the spirits have trapped you and begin the various torture methods to bring about your demise, which happens at the very end of the level. For those aware of my world building from my previous level (Inspired by Hume), I have tweaked it slightly and gotten the permission to add a level not by me to the order. For any who would like to try the full sequence, here is the levels in order of this haunted adventure:
Darkness Prevails --- Hallows Eve (unfinished; uploaded on my account) --- Spinne Schloss (by NnolokK) --- Ghosts N' Ghourls (this level) --- Danse Macabre (In which you die and go to) --- The Cave You Fear (unfinished; uploaded on my account) --- The TOWER --- Halls of Hades (not started; will lead you back to the surface to) --- The Horror Facility. From here the horror sequence ends and the factory sequence begins.
Due to how busy my schedule will become after this semester, I cannot say how much I'll actually play/create in 2.2. I'll instead be off student teaching, and then going into my first job as a music educator, so there won't be time for GD anymore. But I do want to say thank you for supporting me throughout my creating career! Special Thanks to NnolokK for making some paintings, collaborating with me on the song, and being my biggest supporter throughout my journey. I also want to thank Smeave, Nemsy, Playmaker77, BradybobGD, Reapertron2, and Minecraft666A for supporting me recently and overall being amazing friends in this game.
Level recorded with xRecorder Video compiled in iMovie Thumbnail made in PhotoshopConcreteSkullyHop GD2023-01-20 | If you are reading this, I welcome you to perhaps the most disturbing, unsettling, and downright noisiest composition that I have released for public listening. Many of you will find this unmusical, but for those of you whose curiosity is peaked by this erroneous mesh of sounds, I implore you to read further and try to understand what "Concrete" is all about:
“Concrete” serves as a reimagination and reflection on the Musique Concrete movement, a worldwide musical movement which was started in France and occurred between the late 1930’s through the 1970’s. The movement marked the very first electronically-produced music, of which most compositions consisted of the manipulation and playing of tape through a tape recorder. It is through this movement that techniques such as sequencing, reverse playback, looping, distortion, reverb, delay, phasing, splicing, and more first gained wide-term use. Innovations of electronic music, such as the Moog synthesizer and samples, also find connections within this diverse movement.
In this piece, I tried not only to replicate the methods used from the movement, but to also expand upon them to levels that weren't probable back then. When working with electronic tape machines, it typically would take a composer about a month to produce a minute of music. With GarageBand and its various settings for free-to-use loops, though, the speed at which sounds can be edited is greatly increased, as well as the amount of sounds that can play at once reaches a near infinite amount. With the creation of “concrete”, I tried to reimagine what the composers of the movement would have done with this new technology, taking inspiration from Luc Ferrari’s composition “Heterozygote”, the works of Henk Badings, and Gyorgy Ligeti’s composition “Artikulation”. “Concrete” is made up of nothing but GarageBand’s Apple Loops, 90% of which contain the word “concrete” (concrete walk, concrete jog, gun shell concrete, etc). The other 10% are loops that add a human element to the piece (French counting and male breathing). The work is made up of 3 movements, each labeled respectfully with their French numbers (un, deux, trois) throughout the duration of the work.
When listening to this piece, you will likely feel displeasure, disgust, fear, and in general weirded out. I highly advise you as the listener to rather focus on the dense texture presented, hear the relation of sounds to one another, and try to piece together a story that these movements attempt to tell.
Enjoy the production.
