Detroit: Become Human - Eden Club Fight Scene Uncut in One Shot [4K] @hamers61

dragonbane As it turns out, the Detroit fight scene choreography was mostly done in one take requiring meticulous planning and execution. In the game this performance is then cut up a lot and modified to add in the QTEs. In this video I restored the original one take performance as best as possible. For immersion all UI elements are also removed. This required some heavy modifications including:
-Removing all QTE prompts and interruptions such as from the Mind Palace activating
-Importing the animations from scratch and let them play uninterrupted
-Adding audio to this entire fight scene which now has vastly different timings than the original scene had
-Filming everything using only a single shot so we capture the performances as best as possible
-Re-light the scene so nothing is obscured in darkness

In the process I noticed that several bits from the fight performance are never used in the final game, so this video will also showcase these at the same time.

I might eventually turn this into a video series and start working on other fight scenes to turn them into a one take as well.

Beyond: Two Souls - Deleted The Senator Chapter Area Flythrough

dragonbane 2024-01-18 | Advanced area design for the deleted Beyond chapter "The Senator" has been discovered in an early game build recently released by Kempy161. Though still unfinished, the design already matches the concept art available for this chapter closely as shown at the end.

Background:
This chapter would have taken place after The Embassy and before The Dinner in the timeline. Possibly set in Somerville/Boston, Massachusetts it was the most lengthy and complex of the chapters cut from the game early in development, presumably due to the enormous technical challenges it would have presented on the PS3 platform. The chapter would open at a convention center, transition to the underground parking lot and eventually end in a hospital.

Story information on this chapter is scarce, but what is known is that the titular senator would hold a rally for his upcoming election at the convention center. Jodie/Ryan are confirmed to be in this chapter and are presumably assigned as his protection detail. A released script page from this chapter details that a woman named Stella, possibly the senator's make-up artist, would be found dead. Jodie would interview the senator in his backstage dressing room, then try to reconstruct the events that led to Stella's death. This task would lead Jodie to the female restrooms where she would search the stalls and bins and discover something Stella left behind she could channel with Aiden.

Concept art furthermore hints that there was a possible hitman on the catwalk that would try to execute a hit on the senator after he took the stage for his speech. It is likely that he murdered Stella while infiltrating the building and it is the ultimate task to stop him before he can accomplish his objective. A knife found in the parking lot area possibly indicates that the killer would be chased down here and a final fight would take place. Someone is eventually (possibly conditionally) injured during this chapter leading to the final hospital scene

Beyond: Two Souls - Deleted The Shaman Chapter Area Flythrough

dragonbane 2024-01-17 | Advanced area design for the deleted Beyond chapter "The Shaman" has been discovered in an early game build recently released by Kempy161. Though still unfinished, the design already matches the concept art available for this chapter closely as shown at the end.

Background:
This chapter would have taken place after Briefing and before Dragon's Hideout in the timeline. Set in Siberia, Russia it was the original 1 of 2 missions to close off a rift. The idea being that the 3 superpowers each created their own condenser/rift technology. Early game data confirms that Dragon's Hideout takes place in China which was only later changed to a fictional country. The condenser map that is shown during Briefing and Black Sun in the background ironically still shows the 3 locations of the rifts, including the one in Russia, even if it is never mentioned in dialog.

The chapter would have seen the squad of Jodie, Ryan, Nick and Vince infiltrate a Russian base that was built on top of a traditional temple close to a village. The team seemingly would have ran into a trap after reaching the rift and had to fight their way back out, ultimately sealing the rift off with explosives and escaping with a truck

Beyond: Two Souls - Deleted New Agent Chapter Area Flythrough

dragonbane 2024-01-17 | Early area design for the deleted Beyond chapter "New Agent" has been discovered in an early game build recently released by Kempy161. Though obviously unfinished, the early design already starts to match the concept art available for this chapter as shown at the end.

Background:
This chapter would have taken place after Welcome to the CIA and before The Embassy in the timeline. Concept art notes that this was a further training mission in a modelled fake city, possibly located in Iraq, with your opponents being played by US army soldiers. This combat mission simulation would have included a hostage retrieval and extraction. While speculation, it is likely that Ryan played the role of the hostage.

Beyond: Two Souls - Deleted First Steps Scene

dragonbane 2024-01-16 | The original first playable scene of the game. The scene was cut in early 2013, but has now resurfaced thanks to the recent game builds released by Kempy161. Big props to him as otherwise this would not be possible.

The scene got relatively far in terms of polish, only some light modding work has been done on the content to integrate the final OST. The baby Jodie menu logic persists in the final game and has been re-activated for this occasion.

Detroit: Become Human - Re-Imagined Deleted Connor Chapter

dragonbane 2023-02-03 | The game data confirms that a Connor chapter was cut that would take place after Eden Club and before The Bridge. Since there are only data scraps available for it, I've tried re-constructing what I feel would have been the essence of this chapter.

As such everything you see in this video is made up using my advanced modding tools, but based on evidence found in the game files. This evidence includes:
-Game variables confirming this chapter would at least partially take place in the police station and involve a trip to the evidence locker
-Cut early dialog text detailing that Kara and Alice could originally give up on crossing the highway in On The Run and get arrested by Connor
-A cross chapter variable tracking if Connor decided to free Kara and Alice in this cut chapter
-An animation state for Connor tied to this chapter that explicitly mentions him carrying Alice's doll

Everything else is invented, but I feel this particular outcome would present a better transition point to The Bridge chapter and Hank deciding to confront Connor.

Detroit: Become Human - Eden Club Fight Scene Uncut in First Person [4K]

After making a One Shot version of the Eden Club fight, I figured that only with a few additional tweaks I can also make the fight compatible with my existing First Person Mod. This motivated me to make further improvements to the Mod itself resulting in this.

The following changes were made to re-design this scene to work in First Person in particular:
-Rework of most of the warehouse cutscenes to work in First Person including the ending
-Removed camera switching so the transition in and out of cutscenes is smooth
-Animation blending was added to further smooth transitions between sections
-Any UI elements not visible/badly angled were moved to be in the view properly in First Person mode
-The lighting was unified so no sudden switches to the scene lighting occurs
-LookAts were used often to improve or correct line of sight
-The character head is now fully hidden while preserving the shadow, which allows to move the First Person camera to the center of the head, improving immersion and body visibility while reducing clipping

Detroit: Become Human - Deleted Pirates Cove Scenes Restored

dragonbane 2022-12-21 | My biggest restoration effort to date bringing the cut Hunt segment of Pirate's Cove back to life. A big number of deleted scenes were restored and polished up, which also has a massive impact on the flowchart of this chapter. One particular outcome even has ripple effects on the next Kara chapter - Midnight Train. That deleted content is included in this video as well.

This one has been a long time coming and I'm glad to finally reveal it to all of you in a quality I'm satisfied with!

Install Instructions:
1. Have a bought copy of Detroit on Epic or Steam
2. Extract the zip file from the above download into the Detroit installation directory. Ensure both the "Mods" and "BigFiles" folder are contained in the same folder where the DetroitBecomeHuman.exe file is
3. When you boot the game now you should be greeted with a notice "Loaded 1 AddOns" on the main menu
4. If you now launch Pirate's Cove from the chapter list or reach the chapter naturally (launching this chapter from a resume or checkpoint save from the Pirate's Cove flow chart will most likely fail) you should now experience the deleted content naturally
5. Enjoy!

Detroit: Become Human - A Secret Code

dragonbane 2022-09-22 | Steps:
1. Set system date to 15th August 2038 (Hostage Date)
2. Ensure the game boots with this date without Windows automatically resetting it back
3. Use a DualShock or Xbox Gamepad
4. Load a chapter and enter the Konami code at any time. At the end of the sequence you need to hold X/A for 1 second. You also only have 4 seconds total to complete the sequence!
5. Enjoy! You can hold L2 while you are a pigeon to walk faster

This cheat does work on PS4/PS5 as well, but it uses a different date and activation sequence. Here are the steps:

1. Close the game
2. Set PS system date to 18th September 2017 (no clue if this date has any significance, but it's the date)
3. Start the game
4. On the main menu enter this code: D-Pad Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Cross, Circle (Cross and Circle order are wrong and not true Konami code, they swapped the order on PC to Circle, Cross lol)
5. You only have 2.5 seconds to complete this sequence, so gotta go fast. You also receive no acknowledgement if you did it
6. While still in the game, change the system date to anything that isn't 18th September 2017. Even the next or prior day is fine
7. Enter the code again: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Cross, Circle in 2.5 seconds (no acknowledgement here either)
8. The cheat is now activated and ready. Load a chapter first
9. If you now use this code: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Cross, Circle in 2.5 seconds at any time it will switch you to a pigeon :P But the code is a bit more limited than it is on PC

Detroit: Become Human - Restored Original Kamski Ending

-Restored the original president speech during Kamski ending
-Alice can now be rejected in Crossroads even when Connor does not find it, which was the original design idea but got blocked in the final game
-With Alice rejected and Markus kicked out, you can trigger a new form of Kamski ending from Crossroads not previously possible which is shown in the video
-This combination unlocks the special Rose Kamski ending which is also included in the video

Battle for Detroit - Hold On (Ingame Version) | Detroit: Become Human Unreleased OST

dragonbane 2019-10-13 | The version of "Hold On" as sung by Markus in the game. The lead vocals were provided by professional singer Jua Amir. The choir is mainly made up of voice actors present in the game, including Quantic Dream veteran actors Barbara Scaff (Hostess Chloe), who has been in every Quantic Dream game since Omikron in 1999 and David Coburn (Agent Perkins). Christina Batman (President Warren) is also part of the singing cast.
