My previous regiment the XIIIth Cohort had more of a Napoleonic/Black Powder era look and so for the next regiment I knew I wanted a different aesthetic. In the end I decided to go for a more dark medieval look. As with my other Turnip28 regiments, I have used a variety of plastic kits to kitbash this regiment. Sci-Fi Skirmish Scenery Update On Point HQ 2023-10-07 | Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and an update on the scenery that I have been building for the supremely awesome game Space Weirdos. The Doomed - Lets kitbash.... On Point HQ 2023-08-27 | Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and my new current kitbashing obsession.....The Doomed by Osprey Games! I wasn't really plannin on getting into any new game systems for the rest of the year as I really have enough to keep my occupied. But The Doomed has certainly captured my imagination and I have been busy creating and kitbashing since the rulebook was delivered.Essentially, The Doomed is a monster hunting skirmish set in an apocolytpic world where horror and mayhem seem to lurk around every corner. The rules themselves are very rules lite which makes for a quick paced game without the need for constantly looking at rules, adding tokens and keeping track of things. The game is miniature agnostic and the author, Chris McDowall, encouarages players to kitbash their hunting parties and warbands as this certainly feeds into the setting that he has created. As people may know, I absolutely love kitbashing and can happily spend hours and hours creating unqiue and individual figures and that is certainly what I've done here. Lets check out.....Warlord Games SDKFZ 222 On Point HQ 2023-08-09 | Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel as I work on a kit that I have waited for a long time to work on - the plastic Sdkfz 222 from Warlord Games. I have recently completed a DAK army project and knew that the 222 was initially available as part of the Gentlemen's War startert box for Bolt Action and was very keen to add one to the DAK project.I didn't really need to pick up this new starter box so waited patiently for the kit to be available as a standalone box.....and then my gaming buddy got it for me for my birthday in June. Turnip28 - Another Regiment Grown On Point HQ 2023-07-09 | Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and another foray into the twisted and root filled world of Turnip28! It has been quite a while since I worked on anything Turnip28 but that has changed with the growing of my third regiment.This regiment will be based around the Procession of Woe cult. This cult uses the Root Shrine to replace the Toff in the regiment. A bit of Lion Rampant On Point HQ 2023-06-10 | Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and a bit of a dabble into mediecal wargaming with Lion Rampant! This is something that I started last year but had completely forgotten that I had painted them until I came across the box that they were in while making another video!This project was inspired by a series of videos that DuncanFX made about his journey into Lion Rampant and I was intrigued by the approach that he had taken with multibasing the units on larger bases and using the unit strength rules to come up with a really interesting way of modelling and playing the game.So, suitably inspired, I dug through my bits boxes and used a bunch of Perry Miniatures that I would normally use for Turnip28 to cobble together a small medieval English army to use in Lion Rampant. Bolt Action - Afrika Korps showcase On Point HQ 2023-06-09 | Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and another Bolt Action army showcase. I have finally completed the Afrika Korps project that I started many months ago and I really didn't think that it would take me this long to actually get it finished! But a combination of distractions and other projects stopped me from getting it completed.......but now its done!The list is based on the 1942 DAK Panzer Division in the Campaign: Western Desert book by Warlord Games. Since the last update I took a few weeks to work on something completely different before starting the second stage of my DAK project. Bolt Action Hobby Blog - Deutsches Afrika Korps #1 On Point HQ 2022-10-04 | Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and the start of another Bolt Action Hobby Blog. I made a series similar to this earlier in the year and it helped keep me motivated to complete the US Mechanised Tank Destroyer platoon that I was working on.I have recently completed a British 11th Armoured Division project and was thinking about what my next Bolt Action project would be! Currently I am really interested in lists that are quite tank/vehicle focused with a smattering of infantry and support choices. These have given me a lot of scope over the last two projects so a third was definitely on the cards.When I was at the Warlord Games Open Day, I picked up a box of the Deutsches Afrika Korps having seen a really wonderful western desert game being played as it was quite inspirational! I looked through my Western Desert campaign book and eventually settled on the 1942 DAK Heavy Panzer Division theatre selector which will give me a good mix of vehiclesm infantry and support. Rubicon Models USMC Marines - my new favourite kit? O Group - completed British Army project On Point HQ 2022-07-14 | Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and a video about my current wargaming and hobby obsession.....O Group! O Group is a battalion levell set of rules and both myself and many in our community have recently taken to O Group with much gusto. So much in fact that this is all I have painted over the last month with all other projects thrown to the wayside in place of some 15mm painting.In this video I'm going to show you my first completred army for O Group which is a late war British battalion that I've built using a mix of Battlefront and Plastic Soldier Company miniatures. Bolt Action Hobby Blog #4 - US Mechanised Platoon On Point HQ 2022-05-09 | Hello everyone and welcome back to On Point HQ and the fourth and last video in this Bolt Action hobby blog series as I have actually come to the end of this project! To repaint or not - Repainting my Bolt Action German Army On Point HQ 2022-03-23 | Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and a video about a quandary that I've had for a little while.....should I repaint my Bolt Action German army? Bolt Action Hobby Blog #3 - US Mechanised Platoon On Point HQ 2022-02-26 | Hello everyone and welcome back to On Point HQ and the third video in my Bolt Action hobby blog series. This series is intended to keep me inspired and motivated after a lull in my Bolt Action painting mojo last year. In this video I outline what I have completed since the previous video.As I have highlighted in the two previous videos, I am working my way through this project in four stages, each containing one vehicle and four infantry. This has been on my desk unfinished for a while now but it is now completed and looks very different to how it was going to look in my initial concept for it.This shrine replaces the Toff in any Turnip28 army when you take the Procession of Woe cult and I really can't wait to use this piece with the rest of my Turnip28 armies. This is a video that I really wasn't going to make as it is all about painting Turnip28.... and people have their own ways and techniques for painting their units. But a few people have aske me questions about how I go about painting my own regiments.So in this video I will be running through how I go about painting a unit of Fodder for my current Turnip28 regiment. Turnip28 - The Root Spreads...... On Point HQ 2022-01-25 | Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and another video about the weird, wonderful and thoroughly creative world of Turnip28. In the previous Turnip28 video, I showcased my first regiment the XIII Cohort. In this video, I thought it would be interesting to show you the progress that I have made with my second Turnip28 army.
