The goal of NaNoWriMo is of course to write a novel (50,000 words) in a month, but most writers can't just sit down and write. We need to plan. And planning means outlining our novels! In this video, I'm going to go over a couple of different outlining methods that I use, and some tips on how you can outline your novel yourself. Whether you want to outline chapter by chapter, or story beats, I've got you covered! We'll also be talking about some of my favorite writing tools, like outline planners and writing software.

For self-published authors who use IngramSpark to distribute their books, this could mean a huge reduction in royalty rates, and force authors to increase the price of their books if they want to maintain their current royalty rates. I wanted to use this video to point out just how much money authors could lose, and why I'm so disappointed in IngramSpark's response to the wholesale discount issue.
