This year has allowed me to do a lot more home sewing by creating affordable and cheap interior design projects. A few years ago I did a "Lit Up Star Pillow" tutorial inspired by a few Wish Home decor. Now that my living room has a more bohemian style interior design, I am taking you along on the journey of how I am giving it a more cozy interior. In this video, I will show you how to make your own pillow cover that is shaped like a star, along with how to make your own pillow cushion. Making throw pillows can be a really affordable way to add some style to your home, and most of them are basic shapes, so any beginner can give it a try.

Pattern Note: Pattern 1 and 2 are exactly the same. You can print just one out to save paper. However, I like to keep them in two files so it's easy to ready for beginners.

I recycled my cardboard boxes to create the storage bucket with some fabric I found in my craft room from years of fabric hoarding! I made this for my daughter as a gift, but you can use this same tutorial to make personalized Christmas gifts. This is an easy sewing project that you can whip up in less than an hour! An easy simple way to add a little fall home decor with this easy DIY fall design. If you have a Cricut machine, it will surely help you out quite a bit. If not, you can always cut by hand, and it will still be just as beautiful!

My excuse as to why I haven’t uploaded a video
-I got sick (not pandemic related)
-Got on new meds and not sure how I am liking it, but we shall see.
-Got a major creative block from being sleep deprived. I have a toddler, and when she regresses in sleep, I regress in creative energy lol.
-ADHD kind of took over for a bit where I was hyper-focusing on making things, but not editing any of the videos. I really loathe editing. It takes too much brain concentration that doesn’t seem to make sense in my mind.
-I know I don’t have to explain, but it felt rude to just pop in and out of your lives without giving you a heads up!

Hey Sloabies!
Long time no see! I'm back with another video, and a sticker shop! Funny how I mentioned it in my last "Plan With Me" Video and here I am actually going through with it! Sorry for the lack of videos these past two weeks. The excuses were explained in the video. Hey Sloabies!
I was in dire need of a planner. I couldn't keep up with my digital one because it was too hard to see everything. I need it all to be in one spread so I know where, when and how I am suppose to attack all of tasks! Glad I discovered the Bullet Journal again! The reason why I like BUJO-ing is because it is very flexible for what I need it to do. Since I am a WAHM--my weeks changes all the time, and so I need it to move around and accommodate to me and my life. Anyways, I fell down the rabbit hole and I am loving it! Welcome back to a DIY! Finally!!! I've been meaning to put this up last week, but boy does my week just fly by for me. You know how little Grootie is so darn distracting. It's hard to edit a video in one sitting because she's always doing something so darn cute, and in truth--I do take out too much time to play with her. Hey! I shall pull the mommy card--she needs me hehehe. Anyways, she's been trying to roll and kick all over the place! I really want to have a safe barrier that keeps her around from the edges of the crib. I found these braided bumpers on instagram and gasp* they were so expensive! I figured I would just make one for her. I love the grey neutral color because it made everything else in her crib pop! Also, the quilt was made by a good friend WhitneySews here on YT.

Disclaimer: I do not leave the stuff animals in her crib when she sleeps. Some would say that bumpers are dangerous as well. You are the parent, you make the call. I feel that Grootie needed the bumper as her kicks are very hard and she's just all over the place when she sleeps. Again, you are the parent--make the best choice for your babies and don't blindly do what I do! LOL I don't know what I'm doing like 97% of the time! #ParentHood am I right?

Filing-Use a cheap pillow!!! The ones I bought were from Wal-Mart the cheap Mainstay ones. It's weird how I bought 3 pillows and each pillow stuffed one strand perfectly!

Hey Sloabies!
This will be my first Mother' s Day and I am so excited! Being a mom has taught me so many important things and one of the biggest life lesson was learning how to embrace my body. It was such a pleasure to carry Grootie for 9 months and I knew that my body would changed significantly afterwards; but I didn't know how much it would affect my mind after having her. The first few months was a onslaught of lack of sleep, mommy blues, and getting use to this tiny human. Then you tack on your body image issues; and boy was it a ticking time bomb. Embracing myself and giving myself grace was something I learned a few months later; and now that I look back on some of my older videos--I just feel so silly about how I use to think I was "too chubby" in said video. I was totally fine! I was fine then, I was fine during pregnancy and I am 100% hella fine now! I wanted to pass on this positive note to you guys, along with my good friend Kieu from AlwaysOnKieu who's a mommy to precious Baby Belle! Hey Sloabies!
I'm back finally with a DIY. Boy is it hard to DIY with a little one, well the DIYing isn't hard--it's the filming and editing that I struggled with LOL. She's so cute I just want to sit down and play with her all day! Anyways, I made this floral crown for her for a spring photoshoot and I shared it on Instagram and you guys went all excited over it. So, I kept promising to make the tutorial and finally here we are!! The photoshoot is TBD but I can't wait to photograph her in it! She's just to stinking hope.

For me, we had a very chill TG but I am planning to have a FriendsGiving/Baby Shower which will be super duper fun! Instead of buying Mylar balloons that spelled out Baby Groot's name, I'd thought I'd put some of my many Amazon boxes to good use. We have friends from all over the world and so we've been getting so many cute things shipped to us. What's better than to use those boxes and create a nice light up monogrammed name keepsake for our Baby Girl! Hey Sloabie Nation!!!
This weekend is Halloween weekend and I really wanted to do something on this spookie night. This might be the last Halloween where I will not have to worry about a babysitter or having a child strapped to me. LOL I’m literally going to be the worse mom ever (according to parents police people out there, aren't they just the worse?) but here’s the thing, I am giving life—not ending my own in the process. I don’t want to go into parenthood thinking that my life is now over, of course, things will change quite a bit
for Papa 🐻 and I. Baby Groot will be our priority, but at the same time; I believe happy parents can create a better and healthier growing atmosphere for a happy child. This also mean taking advantage of days I feel happy and well enough to be outside while Prego 🐻. Also, how often is it that one is pregnant during Halloween? Pretty rare, and I am going to run with it as an acorn!!! I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. I will have Papa 🐻's squirrel costume uploaded just in case anyone wants to go as a couple for a costume party next year or sometime in the future!

I went to the Dollar Tree a few weeks ago to buy leaves for my fall backdrop, and I decided to pick up some little pumpkins to play with. That trip yielded a fairy costume and this DIY pumpkin decor. What a great buy it was for me. I am super in love with the little unicorn one. This can totally fit into any room decor and it doesn't necessarily have to be just for Halloween! I've seen many wings out there and thought I would share with y'all how I made mine in the most simplistic way! I didn't want to build a strong corset to hold the wings (I might do that in the future) and I didn't want to wear the wings with straps. Happy Friday and welcome back to my channel. As you guys know, I started out on YT with DIY beauty because I couldn't afford the higher end stuff; and after years of sponsorships and blowing money on higher end products--I find that skin care is only as good as what you decide to put in it. Not all higher end stuff is bad though, there is some intense science that goes behind it. However, sometimes not all of us have the budget for it either. DIY beauty is great, don't get me wrong--but it's only great for as long as it will keep and sometimes you end up spending more on the supplies, throwing it out, than you would if you had just invested into a higher end brand. It's always a trade-off, right? I don't knock the beauty industry, and I won't knock natural beauty regimens either. I think both are great--you just gotta find what works for you. I honestly think a balance of both is crucial especially if you have chronic skin problems!

For me, I was having a really difficult time finding an exfoliating scrub that I liked, worked and didn't break the bank. After, some major searching--I decided maybe making one would be better. I honestly came into this little project pre-determined to hate this scrub. Honestly, I haven't seen or found a recipe that I liked; or had proven REAL results. Yet, after tinkering around a bit and after feeling how luxurious it felt on my face; I decided to stick to it on a weekly basis. I soon came to really love this scrub, and found that it was a superpower scrub!!!! I was so excited about how wonderful it worked, and I wanted to share it with you guys because of how awesome it is!

Anyways, pardon my enthusiasm!! I'm just so happy that something worked and was hoping maybe it would work or help you guys too. Again, hope you guys enjoyed the video and thanks for sticking by me!

Happy Friday! Oh my! My serger broke down on me because I was serging a top for a video I was really excited to share with you guys. The excitement got the best of me and I ran over a pin, broke my blades, and threw off the timing on my serger. I am a seamstress, with a serger down. It's like an angel that loses her wings. Pretty sad week for me really. However, I didn't want to go without sharing something this Friday. I looked back and noticed that since I am so obsessed with bows (and bows for baby girl stuff)--it'd be wise to combine all of my favorite types and techniques of bow making into one video for your viewing and of course sewing pleasure!! Sorry, it's not a clothing DIY, you guys will just have to hang in there with me!

Keep in mind that you can scale the bows up or down in size to accommodate your design. But, it's always good to have a template to practice with!
