When you constantly have to think of the basics, you won't have time for the fun. Have 15 hard things on yours list, buy it regardless if you already have it and what you do have; freeze, store, cook, and use it up so you can enjoy the fresh produce that you just bought. Nothing is sadder to me than to eat sad strawberries from last week on a Monday. Fresh produce inspires you to eat it....if you want to eat it in it's state, it needs to be fresh. So if it looks sad, freeze it, bake it, dehydrate it, give it new life so you can get the new stuff! When you use the same 15 items over and over again, it becomes a habit and dinner, lunch, snacks comes easier to you. Also, it allows you and forces you to be creative! Anything above 15 will be your extra meal prep items...however, the basic 15 needs to be there. Whatever your lifestyle, your diet, your health goals...curate a 15 item list. It will change the way you meal prep, the way you shop, and the way you use/re-use your food! Here is my list--each item has multiple choices, I don't buy all of them. I just pick one or two out of that category. I always stick to just one item though. Seriously, get up!! I get asked quite often what I do when I wake up at 5 a.m in the morning, and I figured I’d put this video out into the universe! A few things to note, this routine didn’t happen all in one day. It started with me waking up at 5 a.m and scrolling through instagram. Then slowly I added meditation, then journaling, and the newest addition would be the jogging. Which I am loving these days because jogging allows me to get rid of extra negative emotions that I couldn’t do with just meditation. Whatever time 5 a.m is for you, whether it’s at 9 a.m or 2 p.m, carve out that time for yourself to start your day. I think it would be good for you, your brain, and it helps you set your intentions for the day. Baby steps!! The first thing you need to do, is push yourself to wake up! Side note: I am a human, LOL I do sleep in on the weekends and when Grootie is giving me some heck in the middle of the night; yes I do sleep in. If I get my full 8 hours, then there is no excuse to sleep in! Except for the weekends…you should always sleep in on the weekends! It makes life sweeter…and it makes sleeping in feel like such a treat!
