Also a small roller to apply pva and a water brush. As you can see it dose not take a world of tools but you will need the right ones. Also a small roller to apply pva and a water brush. As you can see it dose not take a world of tools but you will need the right ones. All the coats of render will be different ratios wo be sure to keep a keen ear as the ratios to the scud the scratch and the top float coat are given on every video of this rendering series. The 1st video will show removing how to remove the old render of the exterior brick walls of the house. the 2nd video will be all about that scud coat and preparation before we apply it with a dashing trowel also know as a hurling trowel. New the 3rd video will be all about the scratch coat this video that is and we will show and talk all about it and its ratios of mixes and controlling suction etc.. The last video the 4th video will be the money video all about the top coat the float coat the finish coat why us plasterers get paid to make it not only look great but be great and last as long as humanly possible to improve the house / home and keep it warm by keeping it dry sand and cement is one of the most widely used material in the construction industry for its versatile uses and how well of a job it dose for a long time. Most traditional renders are applied in two coats; a base coat and a topcoat. This job will be done with 3 render coats and eventually followed by an acrylic primer and an acrylic top coat aka thin coat render or silicone render.
