But most of the ragers are pulling choice quotes out of context, ignoring the fact that Hamilton wasn't actually describing the system we have today. He's talking about a system that was scrapped long ago.

Everybody is quoting Hamilton these days. Usually out of context. They are hoping that the electoral college will over turn the electoral vote. Legally, it's possible. Morally, it's desirable. But practically, it's not going to happen. And if it did, we'd be having even messier elections in the future than we have today.

Now that you can pay for YouTube Why would you want to?
For the music. That’s why. There’s more to it than ad-blocking
But don’t start your free trial just yet. The YouTube music app hasn't shpped yet. I wouldn't want to start the clock on my free trial until it does. ------------------------------- From the End Screen
John: Understanding YouTube Red: Paid Subscriptions and the Future of Online Video http://bit.ly/1Neq18y
Jefferson Graham (USA Today): YouTube Red a Winner for Killer Music http://usat.ly/1Neq6t5
------------------------------- I gave YouTube too much benefit of the doubt with regard to payouts during the free trial period. I don't think it's accurate to say they are doing the right thing. They are something a bit less than that. How much less is impossible to calculate.
Let's start with the official statement from YouTube product manager Matt Leske. “Let’s talk about free trials. Creators are the lifeblood of YouTube. So with Google Play Music subscribers instantly joining YouTube Red, we will pay a portion of the revenue we receive from these subscribers to our creators on day 1. Even with 30 day free trials, our creator community will make as much or more as they would have without YouTube Red.”
Let's parse that. YouTube is taking over the existing paid subscriber base of Google Play Music. That gives them tje pool of money the will distribute. It is a) more than nothing and b) less than they would have from paying Red subscribers.

Best episode so far. Doctor Who has a great new writer in Jamie Mathieson. Clara sets out on one "last" adventure with the Doctor. They encounter a murderous trans-dimensional mummy. Clara gets more comfortable with lying.
Can you follow these stories on one viewing or are they too packed with twists and hand-waves—and excursions into the soap opera triangle of Clara and her boyfriend and the Doctor?

Follow me on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/mickelehKill the Moon (Review) | Doctor Who 807mickeleh2014-10-06 | Bad science. good story. I mean, really bad science and really good story. A program fit for Republicans. There's even an abortion debate at the heart of it. Does bad science matter at all in science fiction? Can you think of an American kiddie show where a main character would unwind after a tough day by drinking alone in her apartment?

But who bought the fuel? Some advertisers are allowing their brands to associated with vile videos. ------------------------------- UPDATE (OCT. 7) Apparently, YouTube Agrees. At least in principle. A spokesperson from YouTube told New Media Rockstars: "“We have strong guidelines regarding advertising on the site, and we may choose to stop placing ads against any video if we receive advertiser complaints or determine that the content of the video is inappropriate for our advertising partners.” So far, I haven't seen any official confirmation from either YouTube or from Sam Pepper that his channel has been dropped from the partner program.
