Hey! I noticed that there weren't many covers of the final piece of music from the Miraculous Ladybug Origins episode, where Adrien and Marinette first become friends. So, I wrote some sheets and threw together this performance in the hopes that we'll see some more covers of this beautiful track.
I wasn't sure what the name of Noam Kaniel & Jeremy Zag's composition was, but I saw a piano cover on youtube of this song and thought the title they gave for this piece fit perfectly. So here it is: the unofficial soundtrack for the "Umbrella scene", sans dialogue. Feel free to use in fandubs, AMVs or whatever--but please credit this video if you end up using this music in your own projects.
Thanks for listening, friends! I have a few more covers planned this month; I can't wait to share them with you (while waiting for new episodes of Ladybug!)

I was listening through the replies and absolutely grooving, so I thought I'd give it a shot too!
The idea was to keep his 125BPM "B", but play with the meter a whole lot. I first set his recording to a different tempo backtrack (the project is in 75 rather than 125). The piano and lead melody are in 5, the bass is in 4, and the percussion is in 3. It gives a really weird and interesting groove, I think!

Howdy! I originally just made this cover / remix of Twister from TWEWY for use in my "The Music of Kingdom Hearts" video series on the second channel, but I figured I'd throw it up by itself over here for others to listen as well.

Howdy ya'll; I have somethin a little different for you today. I wrote this arrangement of Alan Menken's "How Does A Moment Last Forever" from Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Live Action) for Solo Piano back in 2017. Decided to sit down and record it this weekend, but I wanted to take the recording and throw it into this nifty AI Pianist Concert Creator application to see how it looked. I was very impressed! So I changed the avatar to Jon Schmidt from the Piano Guys and edited together a few of the viewing options. Hope you enjoy this goofRequiem on Dearly Beloved | Solo PianoDavid Russell2021-02-05 | Performance of "Dearly Beloved" from Kingdom Hearts in a solo piano Chopin-romantic style arrangement. Composed by Yoko Shimomura; Arranged by Nabeel Ansari and David Russell.
Yoko Shimomura's "Valse Di Fantastica" was all over the marketing for FFXV, and one might have expected it to be the theme that would ultimately play for Luna and Noct's reunion. Although that wasn't the case in the game, I wanted to arrange this tune with that idea in mind--that this would serve as a royal wedding tune. In this arrangement the Melodica represents Luna, Violin represents Noctis, and Piano represents the connection between the two. I searched for as many places as I could for all three of these instruments to share the spotlight and dance together, and I hope it came across in this lively & somewhat tonally unusual arrangement.

Finally, a spare moment to cover some Kimi No Na Wa music. Here's "Date 2", composed by RADWIMPS for Makoto Shinkai's perfect film, "Kimi No Na Wa. / Your Name." with the promise of more to come!
Similar to Mitsuha's theme, but distinct with its own beautiful idiosyncrasies. Finding covers of this piece isn't difficult--it seems to be popular! What was difficult, though, was finding covers that really dug into the AMAZING dissonance at the turn of the verse in a way that left me satisfied. I wanted to give it a try, and I added the orchestra behind to accentuate that whole B section, mimicking the OST. Hope you enjoy it!
This one took weeks of practice to get the hands to finally cooperate together, so I'm glad to be able to share this arrangement with you! Tons of tricky things to get a feel for in this arrangement--everything from the jumpy left hand patterns to the correct articulation on the melody, and even to the timing of the hand crossings! This piece was definitely a challenge to overcome. Thank you for listening, and to you pianists Brave Enough to tackle this piece, don't hesitate to ask questions in the comments!
This video is my submission for the InsaneInTheRain Jazz Challenge 2 (2017). I’ve just recently finished playing P5 and all of Meguro’s music throughout the game was completely infectious, but none moreso than the Palace infiltration music “Life Will Change.” I had thought the tune was well-suited for being rendered with this sort of instrumentation, so when Carlos announced his jazz challenge, I was excited--it gave me the perfect opportunity to take a crack at this piece. I bombarded the arrangement with punchy walls of sound, cool melody tradeoffs, fat chords, and some nifty piano syncopation; between the powerful guitar and bass from Ro, smooth sax runs from muta1206, the crispy trombone from dannymusic, and the punchy trumpet from Marc, the arrangement really came alive! I can’t thank them enough for setting aside time to perform for me. I hope you enjoy the tune!

(Thank you to Stephen Meyerink for helping with translations!) Ahh, this piece of music is absolutely the most charming thing I've heard all week. I first heard the tune through LittleLily's cover...and I decided to give it a try myself! I hope you enjoy this pretty melody^^
So hey! This has been in the backlog for a few weeks, but good gravy the song's still a massive earworm for me, and it gave me an opporitunity to jam a bit on my melodica lol. In this version, we have the fantastic guitar accompaniment and a killer solo by one of the most skilled guitarists I know, some absolutely brutal drum work by a new face on this channel, some surprising (?) saxophoning by a friendo who just learned how to play the instrument not even a month ago, and the thickest & crunchiest bass guitar on his side of Hawaii. (Thanks for playing with me, y'all) ...and thank you for listening!
Sheet music (unfortunately, I only have photos of the sheets on my bench) http://sheet.host/sheet/TQOtbq

I hope you enjoy listening to this arrangement! Storytime: I'd originally arranged this medley a little over 6 years ago while I was still at college. I'd intended to upload it way back then, but it was too difficult for me to play accurately. I actually lost all the of the digital sheet music I'd written a little while after putting these sheets away back in 2011! But I was rummaging through some shelves this past weekend and I found these hidden away in one of my old folders. I thought it'd be fun to try to perform it again :)
So, thanks for listening to this massive medley. I hope my love of Disney and Kingdom Hearts really shines through the playing here.
This tune was the perfect excuse to try some new things--in particular, I wanted to experiment a bit with writing some neat doublebass lines. The super gracious Sam Bobinski offered to jam a bit with me, and this was the result!
What a pretty theme for that little city on Melemele island. I had downloaded the sheets from Ninsheetmusic and started practicing just to see how difficuls Latios' arrangement was and /boy, lemme tell you somethin'/. These sheets took me a while to get through, with hand crossings and quick jumps all over the place. Crazy fun though; give it a try!
One more Sun/Moon cover I wanna do (my favorite track from the OST!), and then two other super jammin' tunes coming up in the next few days. One of which is a meme.
A veeery liberal interpretation of that wonderful motif from Toby Fox's "Hopes and Dreams" from the UNDERTALE OST. _____
A lot of fun putting this together one night! The idea was to assign the 7 human souls to be different instruments in the mix:
• Patience (light blue) is the Marimba/Steel Drum motif • Perseverance (purple) is the Piano ostinato • Bravery (orange) is the Synth Lead • Integrity (dark blue) is the Bass • Kindness (green) is the falling Piano line at the bridge • Justice (yellow) is the falling Bass that accompanies the piano at the bridge • Determination (red) is the Synth solo
ayy, I had two cups of coffee last night and made this cover of "Turnabout Sisters" from Ace Attorney. Originally composed by the wonderful Masakazu Sugimori.
The idea behind the annual Multiplayer Charity albums is two-fold: raising money for a charity organization, and creating an album around a specific theme. For this year's “water” theme, I chose to arrange a track from Aivi's OST of an upcoming (unreleased at the time of posting) game: Cryamore. I wanted the music to have a...sort-of "conversation” between the guitar and piano, emphasizing playful melody trade-offs and “divergent” interpretations of different sections in the piece. The initial transcription readily lead me to explore neat rehamonizations and include a super fun 9/4 section in the arrangement. The whole interplay between bass, guitar, and piano is an interesting result from this work, and I'm excited to share this music with you. Hope you enjoy!

This year, we are proud to be raising money for Water.Org, an international nonprofit organization whose goal is to bring clean water and sanitation to the world. What you'll be listening to in these 33 tracks are not simply recreations of classic tunes from your favorite games, but a fluid collection of diverse styles rendered into a cohesive 2 hours of entertainment. Please enjoy, support the love of video games & music, and help with the cause of delivering clean water worldwide!
All the proceeds from donations and album purchases are going straight to Water.Org to help out their mission of delivering worldwide water-aid! Thanks for listening to this track, y'all :)
Good gravy, this was difficult--a whole week of practice to get this one into the fingers! Totally worth it though; this piece is /incredibly/ fun and a great challenge for developing quick reaction speeds. I plan on making a few covers for some of the tunes on Lindsey's "Brave Enough" album, so please look forward to them!
After the rabid response to my last Miraculous cover, I really wanted to tackle the opening theme of the show...but I wasn't sure which version to work on! Each official version of the Miraculous theme had their perks: the French one has the smoothest lyrics, the Korean one has the coolest backtrack accompaniment, and...I can understand the English one! So, in writing the arrangement for this, I took bits and pieces from each of the versions and combined them all into one piece (+ a few solos and some neat other sounds). I hope fellow MLB fans find the music as fun to listen to as we all had making it!
If you would like to upload your own version, I've also included a karaoke-suitable backtrack in the audio downloads below. Please source this video and my channel in your work if you end up using it--thanks!
Thanks so much for listening, friends! As always, I'll be working on some fun new things for a few weeks--I can't wait to share them with you (while I wait on new episodes of Ladybug!) Bye bye, petits papillons~
I really like this piece. This is the one track from Ori's OST that always stood out to me as being a little bit different in style, and I wanted to see how much further I could push it. Having covered "Light of Nibel" for another album a year prior, I knew I didn't want to make another straight orchestral-interpretation of Gareth Coker's music. So, I tried my hand at replicating "The Waters Cleansed" as best as I could, planning to use the last phrase as a solo section for the vibes, piano, and oboe. In the end, I feel what makes this cover unique is the interesting percussive textures throughout, as well as the fun trio of solos near the end. I hope you enjoy listening!
From start to finish, this piece of music was finished in three days for Materia Collective's newest album, "NIBEL: Ori and the Blind Forest Remixed". If you like what you hear, consider checking out the rest of album!
Thanks for watching and listening to "The Waters Cleansed!" I've got a few more musical projects I want to finish before the month ends, so keep an ear out for more fun stuff soon! --David

“Dead End” is a highly intense track that only plays twice in-game, and for two very brief scenes. At the time the Materia Collective was doing track selection signups, I was watching Cowboy Bebop. I noticed how similar the opening of Yoko Kanno's “TANK!” was to the opening of “Dead End” and this thought grew to later be developed into the idea of arranging “Dead End” as a bebop-style piece. The battle-esque character of the music is what initially drew me into making this arrangement, but I wanted to strip away the atonal buildup sections in the second half of the original 1-minute track to really highlight the tiny melody and to fully develop the piece into something that wouldn't seem out-of-place on, say, a big band stage. So, I studied a bunch of Sammy Nestico scores to put this piece together--a totally eye-opening experience. As my first venture of engraving in the realm of jazz, it was quite a hurdle to overcome the comfort of my standard style of arrangement. But that said, I'm absolutely thrilled with the way this piece turned out, and I hope you enjoy listening to it as well!
Whew--projects upon projects. Hey there everyone! Apologies for the long youtube absence (the work never flippin ends!). I'm always working on new music things; I think that this year I'll have a few neat videos to throw up here. I decided to make it a glitch-orchestra remix to imitate the robotic, plodding feeling of the moment in the movie when Kadaj fuses with Jenova's box. Such a cool sequence!
This is the ending theme from the "The Light of the Eyelid" episode where Sui is infected with a mushi strain that inhabits the eyes, causing light to bring her intense pain. This is probably one of my favorite episodes in the season--something about watching the friendship between Biki and Sui develop made me feel incredibly relaxed. I wanted to share some of that relaxation with you!
The original track has a rather piercing bell-sound that doubles the piano in the high register. But after listening to it multiple times, I feel that the sound wasn't necessary. I opted instead to double the melody with a celesta, adding a few waterphone flourishes throughout to mimic the feeling of mushi crawling around.

Having watched the anime a while ago, I really felt like I became attached to this piece in particular--anytime it would play, I could feel the tears welling up in me about whatever situation Kousei was facing. Such an emotional piece of music for such an emotional anime. (Also...piano. I kinda had to watch it, right?? hahaha)
Thanks for listening to this quickie cover! More things coming soon!
I kinda fell in love with Ori from the first few minutes of playing this game. It's unlike any I've played before--from its beautiful scenery to the super fun platforming to the expertly crafted soundscape, Ori and the Blind Forest is one of the most fun experiences I've played in recent history. For this year's Multiplayer charity album, I felt that working on one of the pieces from Ori would be a perfect fit.../but which one?/. I eventually settled on the final piece of the game, "Light of Nibel", seeing as it seems to be the musical denouement of Ori's journey. The theme for this year's album was that of teamwork and collaboration, so I enlisted the help of several extraordinarily talented musicians to help breathe some new life into this piece. Please check out each of their channels--my friends are exceptional at what they do!
