Summary of The Summoning
This MAP focuses on non-canon characters!! We follow Crescentraven, the Bayclan medicine cat, as he works to support his brother with the threat of his aggressive former mentor, Rainear, as well as uncovering a mystery that have plagued the clans for many moons. The disappearance of Starclan.
Oddly enough, he seems to be the only one to see a starry cat with no name or origin.

Guiding Peril is a series that I've had in the works for almost two years now (My very first MAP part was of an early version of Crescentraven!) based on Warriors. Of course, they aren't set in the clans we are familiar with.
The Summoning takes place in Bayclan, a clan that resides in the forest, and focuses on Crescentraven. He is Bayclan's medicine cat and due to the fact that the clans have lost their connection with Starclan many many generations ago, he is seen as lesser for it.
However, he is able to see cat that he can only assume is from Starclan. This spirit leads him to where he needs to be, be it herbs or a cat in need, even if danger awaits him there.

Sol 2024-01-27 | I'm very happy to say that the first Guiding Peril MAP will be out soon! Aiming for late February!

The story behind this illustration:

An inferno raged behind the broken clan. Their home was turning to embers and ashes right before their eyes. Kestrelwind in particular was taking the events of that night hard. She didn't just lose her home. She lost her father, Elkstar, who lost his last life to the wretched Rainear. The black and white cat's victory didn't last long, as Sootshade had intervened before he could cause more death, and struck him down. Sootshade was still running on pure adrenaline, carrying a small kit that wasn't able to swim across the river. He looked back, checking on the remains of Moorclan, and he saw Kestrelwind staring at the smoke-filled sky.
"I don't know what we are going to do" he heard her soft whisper. He sat the kit down, watching the small ball of fur race to their mother, before stepping towards Kestrelwind. He curled his tail around her, hoping to provide comfort to her.
"Bayclan will provide shelter to your clan, at least until you can get back on your paws" He reassures her, though he wonders if Eaglestar would accept all of these cats.
Kestrelwind looks at him, her bright eyes shaking. "I appreciate it, I truly do, but.." she hesitates, "I don't know if we will ever recover. Our territory was already nearly uninhabitable"
Sootshade lets out a heavy sigh, "Then.. why don't you join us? for good?"
Kestrelwind looks shocked, then upset. "I... I don't know. We aren't suited for the forest. Besides, Starclan knows what will happen if two clans merge!"
"I'll speak with Eaglestar about it. If he agrees, my offer will always be there. You don't have to accept now. Just think about it" Sootshade mutters, offering her a small smile.
Kestrelwind didn't immediately return the lightheartedness, but she curled her tail around his before turning to follow her clan into the forest, towards the Bayclan camp.
Sootshade sighs and starts to pad ahead, now having to force himself forward as the adrenaline from his fight with Rainear and helping Moorclan cats escape the flames begins to fade and wear his body down.

Sol 2023-12-05 | I began learning how to animate last year, around September. I had a little experience with extremely short animatics, but that was it. I had started to do MAP parts to force myself to learn animation, and it worked! Now whenever I have free time, I find myself animating silly little cats.

Scene:

Ashenspirit dragged his paws through the deep snow of the mountains. His body trembled from exhaustion as he was pushing against the strong winds that hit his face.
A shadow cast over the snow in front of him and he looked up to see a raven gliding above, blocking out the bright sun. He had noticed the ravens that would follow him as he fled from his clan. At first he had brushed them off as just following the same path, but after miles of travelling, he couldn't help but feel watched.
He cursed at the raven, but as he found his attempts to scare it off to be useless, he settled for trying to find shelter from the cold wind.

For context to this video, these are some of my oldest and most developed OCs, Faolan (smol boi) and Michael (angry man)

In the beginning, they were both angels, but after events caused by Michael manipulating others, Faolan fell and became a fallen angel.
This PMV shows all of the trauma he experienced since falling, injuries and events that hurt him more than what could be fixed while Michael became blind to how badly he has hurt his younger brother.

There was a LOT put into this PMV, many small details that could only be caught by looking at each individual frame. A lot of care was put into making the body language, color language, and general expressions as accurate to the characters as possible, and I am incredibly pleased with the turnout
