say hello ro my first PROFESSIONAL storyboard! the other storyboards and animatics i've put out in the past have been sloppy and far too ambitious - they took too long and ended in burnout pretty much every time, usually before finishing them. so, for this project, i ditched my perfectionism and just went for it, trying to replicate the work of storyboard artists working in the animation industry.
i had the idea for the scene a few months ago, and decided on Saturday to just buckle down and do it. so i did. and now it's Tuesday. and somehow, it came out BETTER than i had imagined it. i struggle with executive dysfunction in my art, so for this to not only be finished, and done in a short time, but also *something i'm proud of* really speaks volumes.

this has been a huge step in my art journey. thank you for watching, i hope to make more videos like this in the future 🩷💜💙

if you're tuning into the premiere, thank you so much for sticking with me! this may not seem like too big of a project, but it's a pretty big milestone for me, because it's my first finished animation meme EVER.
i am not an animator. animation has always been a keen interest of mine, but i've never really enjoyed the process. i prefer storyboarding and character design. however, a recent surge of creative drive has given me the boost needed to take it up again... so, this short little meme was a pretty big job for me.

some context for the part - Allistare was brainwashed from a young age by ???? (his father!) to be a ruthless assassin. however, he slowly starts to realise what he's become, and feels remorse. he confronts Jakk, his half-brother, and tries to warn him of ????'s plans. Jakk, having been wronged by Allistare in the past, thinks its an attempt to lure him into a trap - but suddenly realises Allistare is telling the truth. Allistare, too busy trying to convince Jakk of his intentions, doesn't notice the presence behind him. enraged at his sons betrayal, ???? takes Allistare out of the picture - permanently.
