Amanai Kanoka [Animation test steps]

xSMCx 2018-10-24 | Hey Yoh! So.... I've been gone for like.... Over a year! I had a pretty rough last year, emotionally speaking, but I'm a lot better now :)

I tried animating and finished this a couple weeks ago, I was going to upload this only when I had more scenes with her but I found out through Tumblr that today was her birthday and she hasn't been animated yet so I thought I should upload it today, because she's an awesome character :)

Story: Hiro's father (yes, that's his father) is a villain and wants Hiro to help him conquer the world. Violet is Hiro's friend and she has superpowers. She dies protecting him from the military defending the city Hiro is attacking. Even though Hiro wants to quit, his father doesn't let him and he keeps repeating the "simple motion" over again while Violet's spirit watches.

Crossover MEP | Dreaming Alone [4/12 DONE]

xSMCx 2017-02-28 | Last time I opened a MEP was over a year ago and it had quite a few setbacks so it wasn't even finished, let's see if we can make this one goes as well as my first :D

Rules:
1. I'll pick the editors: I'm not trying to offend anyone, so please don't feel offended. I will be slightly picky;
2. Don't cut your audio, download it.
3. Add half a second to the end of your part for transitions;
4. 2D and 3D are both allowed, just keep 2D with 2D and 3D with 3D --- NOT just male/female... You can pick whoever you want;
5. Overlays, coloring, text and so on are all allowed, just don't make it too busy --- DON'T add your watermark, I'll do that;
6. CROSSOVER ONLY!
7. Characters can repeat once, maybe twice, but couples can't. Extra characters won't count;
8. HD footage! Rendering in HD doesn't count if the footage isn't;
9. Upload your part to mediafire, sendspace or another "sharing" website: you can upload it to your channel too, if you want;
10. I want at least one manip with both characters in your part. It's not as fun without them being together on screen at least once xD

I'm almost done with all my mep parts (yay me!) and I've been addicted to the original version of this song so this kind of happened in my head and now it's here (with a cover because the original has a problem with way too many countries) xD
I wanted to thank you guys and since requests are a big no, because I'd forget about them (most likely) this seems like a good way.
I'm not sure if enough people will even care, but hey, let's find out!
Just to be clear, this is 4 minutes long, which means it will take awhile to make.

Just a few rules:
1. Even though this is a YOU pick, I vid; it isn't first come first served. Friends, people who have inspired/supported me over this year and stories/couples I feel inspired by will get first dibs.
2. 2D/2D and CGI/CGI, no mixing.
3. Crossover only.
4. Non/disney only.

And that's it x'D
No official restrictions on the number of times a character can repeat for now, but if I see a character is requested too many times I might exclude him/her.
Request as many couples for as many parts as you want (boy/girl, boy/boy and girl/girl all allowed), and I'll try my best to pick at least one.

Theme for this mep: forbidden love! Let me know if you understood the story, I tried to make it as clear as possible. Cliche story is cliche, I know. BUT OPEN ENDING! Because I love those ;P

I feel like when I told Daniela "with any couple you want" she decided to pick the rarest thing she could think of, like, has anyone ever even mentioned these two in the same sentence? Honest question here x'D And even though I had a story line in mind I had watched Cinderella 3 twice, I believe, and I always had a hate/love relationship with The Prince Of Egypt so I didn't watch it all that much, so this part was made by powers beyond me. The will of the universe was on my side, I made manips as I went and hoped for the best. Cinderella on the other hand I knew like the palm of my hand so every time I thought a scene from that movie would fit less time I would waste searching!! (I used 3 -_-')

Also, lazy me got lazy by the end. Sorry, but I'm editing 4 mep parts at the same time, mostly because I have no self control and I'm trying to be as perfectionist as I can, but you know, deadlines. Thank god two of them don't actually have one. They will all show up eventually. Mericcup will be next, if everything goes well :)

GoGo | Woman Up [DSST Character Intro]

xSMCx 2016-08-10 | Hi guys!

This is for DSST character intro MEP. We had to choose a song that represents our character, and edit between 15 to 30 seconds with it. My character is GoGo and I think it's pretty clear why I chose this song. I originally had cut the song to be over 40 seconds, but then I realized I'd never have enough footage to make it, so I cut it again.

About the video... meehhhh.... I restarted this freaking thing a million times, in the end it always looked super boring, because the song is really happy and up-beat, and my style is, well, not. Well done Sara, you picked a song that doesn't fit your editing style at all. Very good job indeed... BUT, I still tried to make it work, because the song fits GoGo too damn much, and did what you can see. This is why I don't do canon videos, I suck at them... But look at those masks though, those look good ^.^

The theme for this MEP was "haunting" and there's not really a complicated story here. Flynn is adventurous and was looking for the ghosts that were haunting the forest. When he finds them, he discovers they are dragons and they are accompanied by the dragon rider Astrid, his love that had died. He says that he wants to stay with her and she is sad because he is trowing his life away. Ok, maybe it is a little more complicated than I thought, but it really wasn't supposed to be xD

xSMCx 2016-05-06 | Ok, it looks like crap, but I honestly wanted to do this quickly, so I did it every time After Effects had to pre-render/render the masks and manips I'm doing for a MEP part (my computer is slow so, yeah, I had a little time) :3

What I found out about my channel?! I mostly have MEP parts, which is probably why I'm not joining any MEP's at the moment. JUST A THING ABOUT THIS ONE: It's a bit old but it's my favourite thing I have done so far! I didn't even ship them at the time, I just thought they would fit the story I wanted to make, and it was the first one where I really wanted to use crossovers to tell a deeper story. It's not perfect, I can see a lot of mistakes and a lot of things I would have done different, but I love it and I wish I wouldn't have given up on it and cut it short xD It's also the video that brought most of you to my channel, I think, so it's special to me in a lot of ways!

Honorable mentions: The first two and the last one are just important to me, and I like them, not because I thing I did a good job editing them, but because they mean something to me :)
The Mericcup one, was my first crossover, and what started all this madness... ;)
The superheroes one was the first video I made when I decided I wanted to be more active in editing :D
And the other one... I really just wanted to see Hiccup and Toothless from HTTYD2 in their special place!! It was something I was looking forward to... SO, as it didn't happen in the movie, I made it :P

Second: I sent this part almost two days ago, since she hasn't asked me to change anything I'm assuming it's fine. Even if I do have to redo it, I worked hard on it and I want to upload it :)

Theme: Dealing with the loss of someone you love. It can be from death, a breakup, them moving away. Each part had a word we had to work with. Mine was "break"... This took me awhile but I finally decided to make Hiccup have a total breakdown and take his own life... Does that make sense?
There's not really much of a story here: Hiccup is remembering moments with Merida and how she died in a battle and he couldn't do anything about it... That's it xD

HEY!!! MY EXAMS ARE OVER!!! So I can edit again!! First MEP part this year, hope you guys like it! :D

When I read "betrayal" I started to think what, for me, would be the worst kind of betrayal and "sister betraying sister" was the first thing that came to mind. My sister is the person I'm closest to, so if she ever betrayed me I would feel completely lost... I chose Astrid and Merida because, well, I feel they are neglected in this fandom and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM! xD

"The story is simple: Astrid and Merida are sisters and they are very competitive. After losing to Astrid one more time Merida, lives the castle upset. In the forest she finds the ghost of a prince (I didn't have enough time to show this, but my idea was that this prince was a second son who tried to steal the crown but failed) that convinces her she could be queen. Astrid had followed Merida because she was worried and sees the vision too. They fight and Merida kills Astrid. I had a very long story and it was kind of hard to fit it into 30 seconds T.T" This is EXACTLY what I wrote to the MEP's host xD
