Akai MPC kits of Classic Drum Machines #shorts #mpc200xl TONELAB 2023-04-18 | Check out the TONELAB Store:tonelab.merchi.coNot only do they appear to be wearing the same colour, but now.. they sound the same too! 🎨Spent the best part of the day carving Samples from the 1987 Roland TR626, which is more or less like having the sounds from the TR707 and a TR505, but inside a similar 'shell' to the TR505.It's got 30, very familiar, 12bit sounds.. not as fun as playing a real 707, I'll admit.. however, I personally think it's probably one of the most under rated drum machines in the range.Having said that, I've now got the 626 and the 808 available in 'ready-made' Sample-Packs for the SP1200 and MPC range! ..including native format for the MPC2000XL, MPC4000, MPC X (** which includes: MPC LIVE, MPC LIVE II, 61 KEY, MPC One, MPC Studio etc).The MPC Program's 'key-map' has been laid out to match the original specification of the 626.. so, if you had one and sold it?! ..no problem, just route the channel 'in' and it'll play back your pattern as it was 🤓For 'proof of the pudding', here's a demo I knocked up, so you can see (hear) me playing patterns 'from' the 626, into the 2000XL ..while turning up one, versus, turning down the other, vice versa..
