Slice the white membrane in the center of each quarter wedge and discard. To a blender, add the limes and water. Pulse until the limes are chopped up. Do not blend until smooth.Strain into container, multiple times if necessary. Add the liquid back into the blender. Add sweetened condensed milk, ice, and blend to desired consistency. Makes about 3 cups, 3-4 servings. Lets Make CHERRY LIMEADE 🍒 ✶ Thirsty Thursday 06 Evelyn From The Internets 2024-07-11 | ♫ Thirsty Thursday and the drinkin' is easy...♫ Wouldn't be summer without one of my childhood favs! ✹Ingredients✹8 oz frozen cherries1/2 cup sugar1/2 cup waterlime juice to tastelemon-lime sparkling watercherry lime sparkling water✹Instructions✹To make the cherry syrup, add 8 oz (aka 1 cup) of frozen cherries to a small pot with 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water. Stir, place on the stove, and heat it up on medium until it bubbles and the sugar starts to dissolve. Stir periodically just to ensure sugar doesn't get stuck to the bottom of the pot. After about 5 minutes or however long it takes to start bubbling, lower the temp to a simmer for another 5-10 minutes.While it's simmering, squish the cherries in the pot so the syrup has maximum cherry juice flavor. Allow to cool completely. You can strain the cherries out of the syrup of leave them in. Refrigerate either way. To make the cherry limeade, add syrup to a cup of ice, to taste. Squeeze in some lime juice and top off with sparkling water. It's the last Thirsty Thursday of the month!Here's the syrup I bought at the farmer's market barrettscoffee.com/collections/syrups-shrubs/products/bubbs-coconut-lime-agave-syrup✹Ingredients✹1 cup of unsweetened coconut flakes (shredded coconut works too!)1 cup sugar 1 cup waterzest of two limeslime juice coconut waterpineapple juiceoptional: salt or tajin✹Instructions✹Toast a cup of coconut flakes in a completely dry pan until roasty, toasty, brown, and fragrant. It'll burn quick so don't multitask. To a small pot, combine the sugar, water, and toasted coconut. Mix well. Simmer on low for 10 minutes or at minumum until sugar has completely dissolved. Take off heat and add lime zest. Stir and allow to cool at room temperature. Strain the coconut flakes out. To a glass with ice, add toasted coconut lime syrup to taste. Add lime juice to taste, minimum 2 tbsp.Add coconut water and pineapple juice. Enjoy!NOTE: because the coconut releases oils/fat when toasted, there will be a thin layer of coconut oil on the top of your syrup if you refrigerate it.
