With shared love for Robin Hobb's Farseer series, we fan-girl some more, though this time we tried to keep the conversation focused around Kettricken. We didn't always succeed, but hope you enjoy some of the richness we found in hers and others characters. We did free ourselves from restraint though, so this is a full spoiler talk.
Thank you for your continued support, I appreciate you all!

Come and hang out with us as and share our journeys.
Spoilers for ALL the books in Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings - Farseer, Liveship Traders, Tawny Man, The Rain Wild Chronicles, and Fitz and the Fool.
Truly spoiler filled, this is a video to avoid if you haven't completed the entire series, instead a way to compare your experience, and maybe catch a couple of things you didn't pick up in your read through.
From Assassin's Apprentice, to Fool's Fate, @madisongoodyear5040 and I take no apparent path as we reminisce over many of the ways that hindsight changes events over the course of Fitz' life, and Scot (@BaldBookTuber ) gets several shout outs as the the person who tipped Madison into *actually* reading the series, and gently encouraging her through an early attack of 'meh'.Discworld Pt: 22 Standalones - Pyramids & Moving PicturesDerris read It Before.2022-11-02 | As I dip my toes back into my ongoing 'series' of videos, this is the first that will talk about the few books that don't fit into one of the major Discworld series sub-sets.
Pyramids is only the 7th book in Terry Pratchett's sprawling Disc, a world he created to mirror the absurdities in our own reality. & Moving Pictures, the 19th set above The Great A'Tuin, and first of the specific/pointed satires that focus on a single aspect of our world, that, when you look at it, is a bit baffling.
Both of these are books that FULLY standalone within the Disc's stories, none of our major characters are involved in them, though we do get glimpses of some of our supporting casts.
Titles for completion-ists and the curious, both are entertaining, showing us some of the very many ways Sir Terry looked at humanity.

Relationships - WARE SPOILERSDerris read It Before.2022-08-31 | For the first of my more in-depth talks about Realm of the Elderlings, I'm joined by the lovely Evie, and we limit ourselves to JUST the relationships Fitz forms in the Farseer trilogy. There *are* a few spoilers, timestamped below, and I have a visible warning on-screen too, so if you haven't read the books, but are interested in some of the greater themes, and how the characters interact, you can avoid them.
The lovely Evie can be found here @SheWasOnlyEvie, and much like me, Evie prefers to focus on the things she too is passionate about (I can highly recommend her reaction to the Netflix adaptation of Persuasion).
Also mentioned is @jakebishop7822, who is responsible for Evie's emotional damage 😆.

The First Law trilogy: Joe Abercrombie The Blade Itself Before They Are Hanged Last Argument of Kings
The Empire Trilogy: Raymond E. Feist & Janny Wurts The Daughter of the Empire The Servant of the Empire The Mistress of the Empire
One series you likely are already familiar with, and one I think you'll become familiar with over the next year given the attention Janny Wurts will be getting from @A Critical Dragon, @Philip Chase, and @The Fantasy Nuttwork, as a less daunting example of her writing than the epic War of Light and Shadows series they'll be focused on.
