Although I can acknowledge that my channel consists of covers more often than not, I haven't had the time and technology available to create everything I've wanted to. To be stifled now that, after 13 years of bringing people to your website, I can finally create my own music -- such as the gap, Sleepwalking, FORTUNE, the muses' lullaby, Sburban Juxtaposition, OLD GODS NEW ANGELS, EVERFLOW, and more -- is heartbreaking. Even in terms of covers, the vast majority are over instrumentals from Homestuck without lyrics -- but *I was the one that wrote those melodies and lyrics and then sung them* over songs I loved. Many of these creators have worked with me since, and been happy to see their work evolve out of pure passion. The few homestuck-related songs I've monetized have either been my own works originally, such as confinis, the muses' lullaby, old gods new angels, or suburban juxtaposition, while the monetized covers were confirmed with the original writers -- like flare, derse dreamers, and three in the morning. that ad revenue should be collected by the musicians as per our contract's rules, and I am obligated to make sure those funds return to Clark Powell and Solatrus, regardless of whether or not the withheld revenue has to be repaid to them from my own pocket.I want to create more of my own content besides these things, but your algorithm forces me to find ways through it -- such as uploading a cool fishing experience before a new song comes out. I teased a particularly desired ORIGINAL sequel to Derse Dreamers less than a month ago, but now it is delayed thanks to this issue. I also have a large fanbase that looks for the same songs people such as Christina Vee and EVE have risen into original music for covering. This was a common act in the VOCALOID scene -- people would cover music until gaining the skills to create their own, or being scouted by a preexisting band.I had to wait until I could make my own, and even then, it's very difficult. Especially with this.I recognize the breadth of my work may *appear* limited in terms of originality, but I assure you that had I been given the same opportunities as those listed above -- or those who joined the website later like dream or any other younger youtuber -- I would have been able to create something truly meaningful.I leave my channel to your judgement.
