ELLINE | WESTWORLD Scoring Competition 2020 Elline Official 2020-06-03 | So grateful to Spitfire and HBO for the opportunity to score one of my absolute favorite TV shows of all time! Westworld is a masterpiece, and I only hope to have captured a tiny bit of its rich and magnetic tapestry.This scene sweeps you along Caleb's journey with Genre, a hallucinogen that makes you experience life in the form of different movie genres. I honor Westworld's intricate electronic sound this season and blend it with echoes from a movie which equally and profoundly inspires me and my art: Arrival. In Arrival, composer Jóhann Jóhannsson makes the human voice elastic and eclectic in his score. As a singer and artist, I loved the challenge of warping my voice, stamping it as synths, drones, and risers, and scattering it through the form of melodic elements throughout my score.I want to give a special shout-out to composer Juan Cortes Arango for training me to edit film score music and inspiring me to take on this challenge.Hope you enjoy!!
