For those who didn't watch my earlier announcement video, here's a bit of backstory:From 2012 to 2014, I was studying Civil Engineering. I was told by people around me that, since I was good at mathematics and science in school, I should pursue an engineering degree. This was the "safe, stable fallback" that I needed, while doing music on the side.The first year was fun; just like high school, but the more I was there, the less I wanted to be. I began to feel resigned to the fact that this would be the rest of my life, and even though I really loved music, it would have to take a backseat. I started using music-making as an escape to get away from the course: When I should've been studying fluid mechanics and torsion on bearings, I was instead making pastel-coloured horse tunes.I had a few friends and mentors suggest that I withdraw and do something I loved, though I had fallen into the trap that the path I was currently on was the inevitable end.
