Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is one of my favourite RPG's (if not game outright) of all time. The witty dialogue, the diversity of its many characters, the numerous world-building sidequesting, and the tongue-in-cheek playing around of it's own mechanics are all parts of what make this masterpiece so great. If you haven't played this game, or at least watched a Let's Play, I strongly recommend it.

This song is about a certain prankster, who loves attention. I've had this song planned in the works for ages, but the lyrics took forever to write.

And yes, my voice does sound a bit higher than usual. I messed with it a little in Melodyne to make it fit the character better.

After a break of over 6 months, I'm finally back to releasing things again. I'd actually had this song in the works ever since the episode where the CMC got their cutie marks, but it's been one of those songs that just didn't want to be made without a fight.

The lyrics are also personal to me. For those who didn't watch my earlier announcement video, here's a bit of backstory:

From 2012 to 2014, I was studying Civil Engineering. I was told by people around me that, since I was good at mathematics and science in school, I should pursue an engineering degree. This was the "safe, stable fallback" that I needed, while doing music on the side.
The first year was fun; just like high school, but the more I was there, the less I wanted to be. I began to feel resigned to the fact that this would be the rest of my life, and even though I really loved music, it would have to take a backseat. I started using music-making as an escape to get away from the course: When I should've been studying fluid mechanics and torsion on bearings, I was instead making pastel-coloured horse tunes.
I had a few friends and mentors suggest that I withdraw and do something I loved, though I had fallen into the trap that the path I was currently on was the inevitable end. It was only until my girlfriend at the time, Izobelle (now my lovely fiancée ^_^) confronted me with the fact that I was going out of my way to avoid classes, that it hit me how much I hated the course.
I am now happy to say that, in 2016, I am starting my second year of my Bachelor of Music, and I don't regret the decision a single bit.

Also, if anyone is willing to make a more CMC-ish version, with three female singers instead of one male singer with vocoders, I would feel honoured to hear it! ^_^

This was a collaboration track, between me (Evdog), Itchigotchi and StormWolf, that began over 2 years ago, but got stuck in development hell for the longest time. After the episode "Pinkie Apple Pies" premiered, we began reworking the lyrics to be about the Apple Family and, from there, it blossomed. ^_^

I had written this track over two years ago, but didn't feel confident about my ability to produce it. I had approached Tombstone and Freewave, among others, to be the track's producer. Eventually I found Winter Moose of Knights of the Crystal Empire.

The five of us worked on recording and producing the track for the last 6 or so months, in the aim to submit it to the next Balloon Party album (as it is rather experimental, and lyrically meaningful), and hoping that we would have the track done long before the due date arrived, and yet we only managed to get it submitted 10 hours before the deadline. Thankfully, our hard work paid off, and we managed to get onto Academy of Power. ^_^

I was tentative to put this song on at first, but then I figured that the entire purpose of the album was about being authentic and human, so...

Context: I tried running a competition called Winter Rap Off, since about 2012. It kept dying out, and every time I tried to revive it, it would last for, say, ~5-6 rounds, before dying again, and I couldn't figure out why. This month, I tried running it again, and had DaMane call me out on trying to run a rap competition without really being experienced as a rapper (which, in retrospect, may have been one of the reasons why). This was the second-last round before it was cancelled for good.

It's Nightmare Night (Halloween), so here's a Luna song about her hating the fact that she has been Nightmare Moon.
Stemming from the Season 4 Comic-Con animatic, it got me thinking "Could it happen to her more than once? What if it has? She must hate knowing that her, as the Nighmare, caused so much turmoil."

It also I've been feeling a bit depressed lately, and this was a good channel to express my emotions.

Exis and TimberWolffe helped me write the verses. Well... more like they were just there while I wrote them, but they acted as great catalysts.
