Moonfire is one of the campaigners with her character, Connection. Connection (the brown cat) has a backstory of being mentored and educated by Discourage (the red snake) prior to the campaign's events, so when he met Serenity (the lilac cat) who taught the mage-group one spell, Connection asked to learn how to shapeshift into a snake because he already knew snake's tongue and was inspired by his mentor.Later, I allowed the campaigners to bring in a secondary character to join the main group, and Moonfire brought in Encourage (the orange snake,) the sister of Connection's mentor. AT LAST It's done! XD I posted the WIP of this a YEAR ago and it's pushing two years as of the new year but I finally decided to pick it up again, implement the new and upcoming book content into it, and at last get to share the finished product with all of you!This features my characters, Signal, his beloved wife Audio, and Audio's old time friend and mentor, Phantascope. The trio of cats are in a crazy dispute with Signal being unsure if Audio has lingering feelings for her advisor. Despite the two's efforts to assure Signal otherwise, he doubts Audio's loyalty when he sees the two get along and bond over their passion of the plantlife and medicine, and instead of persisting there's nothing going on, Phantascope decides to feed into Signal's fear out of pure amusement of the situation, causing catastrophic outcomes for all three of them when Signal decides to unleash his fire magic.All of this was pushing the events into the main series, and came to a full head in the series itself in final confrontations concerning the three. Now that the dust has finally settled, the observers who only were looking in are now getting involved due to the extreme events that came of the misunderstandings.Signal and Audio are the parents of one of the main protagonists of Mandatory, Video, who doesn't appear in this video, but I thought it might be fun to focus on the characters outside of her main quest, especially since Audio gets a POV in book 3, Stars of the Silver Screen. ;3c This was a really fun project to work on and I said it all in my discord but special thanks to everyone who gave their support and came to the livestreams, the calls, and saw the wips and gave feedback and supported me through the project! Unfortunately right when I joined this MAP was when the height of all my medical problems suddenly came to a head and I wasn't able to shade or render Paradox's wings like I was hoping to, but the sketch MAP was an absolutely fantastic project to be a part in and I do recommend you check it out!It's also worth noting that we lost one of the participants to suicide due to cyberbulling just a few days before the release of We Grew Up So Well. It was really hard to hear and there are more details in the MAP description itself, but being with Inai in both this project and the Leopard MAP was remarkable and I was very lucky to get to be in voice chat with them for the premiere of Leopard. It's always shaking to know that someone who could be so cheerful and fun would be hiding so much pain, and even after personally losing family members to it, no loss will ever become easier and it hurts so much to believe they're really gone. Please know that people love you and people will remember you with even just one conversation with you. Remember that just a few seconds or a few words can make an impact on others, both for good and bad, so carry yourself with kindness toward others and remember that you make a difference, even when you least suspect it or feel you don't.I'm so happy I got to be part of this! It was a great follow up to Leopard and honestly everyone was so remarkable during the making of the MAP as a whole. I know I got a bit overwhelmed with the animated series, and I shouldn't have been psyched out, and I STILL haven't given up on it (the first episode ended up 16 minutes long and is fully storyboarded!) but I am glad I had the opportunity to still share the story in a visual form as I wrapped my mind around such an intense project, and I hope to continue posting more of it, soon, especially as you can see here, with this book we have a visual of ALL the new revamps of the characters I've been working on since 2020 and I am STOKED to be animating them in the new style. That and I thought it would be fun to start the year off with a Video meme, but omg it's already March, oops xDBook 2 spoilers: So to give a bit of backstory behind the meme, magic is illegal in the land of Media which is where Mandatory takes place. Video comes to find out that both her travel companions, Radio and Pictures, lied to her and dabbled in magic with the last living mage, the spider monkey known as Jester or Curiosity, who they were supposed to stop. Now she needs to move forward after holding the two accountable for their magic use, unfortunately having to make a deal with the Jester to get Radio back after she ended up still alive in his lair, the Unending Labyrinth. Video does this begrudgingly, as due to other certain circumstances, she has no choice but to accept his offer to retrieve Radio to prove to Media she was working within the law when initially taking them to task.I have two MAP parts in the works and hope to be also finishing Dinner's Not Over which is a PMV I shared a WIP of last year so WOO! I hope you enjoy this!I was experimenting a little so this was done at 4 and 8 fps (depending on the portion) JSKFKJF It helped me get back into frame-by-frame animation so I'm hYPED! He's the main antagonist of the novel, Bourgeoisie. He's a fun-loving vegan taxidermist that's stolen something from Lord Warrine, a very well respected individual in the land known as Ayjohlen, and framing one of his fellow thugs Kittrena (one of the main protagonists) for the crime. Vincent works for a fellow known only as Lovek, the God of Death, who hired him then to take down Kittrena and retrieve the stolen item. Vincent—according to Kittrena—is after her to kill her and then tell Lovek and Lord Warrine the item was not found and to walk away without penalty from either, but Vincent has own side of the story, and is going to find her to prove it.So the beginning and mid video has A TON of symbols that are important to the story, the first one is Lovek's Eye, which is the symbol for the red character on the left of Vincent, the second one is Lord Warrine's emblem, who is to Vincent's right, and the third one is the Queen's Wreath, which was Vincent's old clothing store before it was claimed by Lord Warrine once he went on the run for being caught red-handed for...crimes.The second set of symbols are the three main countries in the story. The first silver and green one is the symbol for the Sacred Sanctuary (or celestial tree and skydome) in Yostuhladu which is Vincent's home country, the second red and gold one is Ayjohlen's insignia, the main country the story takes place in, and the third one is Maskedawew, which is the country to the west that is more relevant to the end of the first book. ;)The next characters are Charlotte, Taisie, and Phlyte, who are Vincent's main buddies and help to catch the main protagonists, who show up in order of Kittrena, Rio, and Katelyn. I hope to have a video for those three later next year!Bourgeoisie was part of an RP I did with some friends in a while back in 2014 or so, but Avi and Synth wanted to revive it sO IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN.... Audio and Signal are actually Video (one of the main characters') parents and Phantascope is the main of the planned prequel, Of Events Prior.Book two, Straight to Video, and book three, Stars of the Silver Screen, dive into these three's dynamic a bit but I don't do too much content on them XD I was listening to Dinner's Not Over by Jack Stauber though and got super inspired. I've already started coloring and you can find some of the colored frames in their Toyhouses (links above) already BUT ALAS. Signal and Audio are very fun characters to write with, but Video and the rest of the cast pretty quickly catch onto the tension between the two when Phantascope, otherwise known as the Shadow Advisor, is brought up. Magic is illegal in the land of Media, but Audio befriends Phantascope immediately once he appears in their lives again, claiming he was a mentor to Audio during her childhood. Signal does not approve of the closeness or the risk of having a mage in their surroundings, so upon the first warning released by the government about the danger Phantascope potentially could be, Signal lights the mage's home on fire and attempts to execute him when he tries to retaliate. This strains Signal's relationship with Audio, who finds all the violence and doubt unnecessary. Phantascope found all of this amusing until his supposed death and destruction of his forest. Able to hear any thoughts directed or about him with a spell, he was entertained by hearing Signal's insecurities in his head and fed into it for giggles.
