I do not monetize this video. However, as a connosieur of the original Depeche Mode song, you will notice the following:1. I did not cover the original studio-version (which sounds like Nintendo), but the incredible 1984 live version, which sadly never had a studio released.2. This is "my version" of what that studio release could have sounded like.3. In case you are wondering why a robot is singing it instead of a real singer. It's because out of 2 notes, I will miss 4. Never in my life have I ever hit the right note. That's why my voice needs electronic support. Also I think robot voices are cool.4. Very early versions of Ice Machine contained a final chorus that goes "the ice machine". They dropped that in the official releases for whatever reason. 5 retro drum styles on Korg Kross 2 Synthesaurus Rex 2023-11-08 | I intentionally did not try to reproduce realistic drum modules (although I could have), simply because that would have resulted in many useless sounds. Noone has ever used an analog ride cymbal. Yet I put one in there, for "nostalgic" reasons. But not on every set. Korg KR mini - my review Synthesaurus Rex 2023-04-11 | In short: If you need a pocket drummer to practize your guitar or bass guitar to, the KORG KR mini drums is nice. Due to its lack of MIDI capabilities, its not for electronic musicians. Since I occasionally play bass and guitar, its a nice thing to have. But I don't use it for actual music production. Novation Mininova jam with my own patch Synthesaurus Rex 2021-04-10 | To give some context: I started with the Korg Kross music workstation, which is a pretty great synth keyboard, but it has some flaws. To find gear that compensate those flaws, I take the donations from my patrons on patreon.com/synthesaurus and try to find said gear. The Novation Mininova is one of those: For (relatively) little money, you get a very good synthesizer and an awesome vocoder keyboard.
