EcoFlow Glacier Detailed Review | Portable Battery Fridge Freezer Ice Maker | 12V, AC, DC The Technology Man 2023-09-27 | The EcoFlow Glacier is a 38L portable dual zone fridge freezer with a built-in ice cube maker that can make ice cubes in just 12 minutes. It can run entirely off a 298Wh Li-ion battery, solar panels, a 12 or 24V car outlet or mains. The removable battery can also be used standalone as a compact battery pack with 100W USB-C charging. From the smallest micro EDC or keychain torch up to torches that will still fit in the palm of your hand and in your jeans or jacket pocket.I have torches from well known and not so well known brands, from £5 or $5 all the way up to just under £100 or $100 - with most of them well below that. The model I’m looking at here in Phantom Blue, has a 8 core AMD Ryzen 5800H CPU, an NVidia RTX 3070 graphics card, a 512GB NVMe SSD, 16GB of RAM and a full HD 15.6” IPS screen. It’s a very capable laptop both for gaming but also as a fast everyday computer, particularly useful for video editing. And unlike some gaming laptops it wouldn’t be out of place in an office environment. You can pay a lot more for a laptop with far less impressive specs, but it’s not all good. I’ll run through its features pointing out its good and bad points, and I’ll test its performance for gaming, video and photo editing and office use. Anycubic Vyper review | Perfect beginner 3D printer? | Unboxing, setup, auto-levelling, test prints The Technology Man 2021-09-29 | The Vyper is a new 3D printer from Anycubic that promises to be the perfect beginner printer. It requires very basic assembly and has true automatic bed levelling to ensure prints stick to the bed. This is often the biggest cause of frustration for beginners. And it comes with a few other features that make it easier to use, including a removable magnetic build plate - my favourite platform and a 4.3” touch screen. It has a large print volume and its twin screw system for the height axis should provide more accurate prints. And it promises to be quiet with its supposedly silent motors.
