Added another FTO method to the collection. The idea of LBL isn't new in cubing generally, but I did have to come up with techniques that made it work on the FTO. The basic outline is:
First layer - solve first center and first three triples, very similar to Bencisco. Second layer - done in three stages: solve middle edges with [U' F' : U] and the inverse; solve lower triangles with [D' BL' : sledge] and the inverse, as well as 3-cycle commutators when it's efficient; solve upper triangles with normal flip algs like in L3T. Third layer - solve corners using Pyraminx L3E algs (or the FTO CP algs to preserve triangles when it's good), and finally solve the remaining triangles with commutators (usually two, sometimes three are needed).
This solve in particular skipped the lower triangles of the second layer (I managed to solve three large traps which was nice) but otherwise the rest was full-step, with some fairly nice cases. Overall I'm pretty happy with it!
I'd like to make a comeback with some new content for this channel in the near future, but it may be a few months from now as of yet. If you read up to here, thanks for watching and sticking around!

I've finally done it. A good, reliable, and economic way to make better quality FTOs for speedsolving. Thank you all to everyone who helped so much with funding prototypes and doing test prints so I could get these perfect. Better late than never.
These are currently sold out, but I may build another batch in the future. Link to FTO discord: discord.gg/dtANps9nKd
Embracing tradition! Here we look back at one of the first FTO speedsolves ever done and reveal how the original records were set. Sorry for the below par lighting/audio quality, I had to film in a different location. -- Sponsored by PuzzleMaster! Hand-scrambles so I'm not claiming any record.
Overall this puzzle is very good. Out of the box it felt tight, the layers were quite stiff to turn and it was absolutely soaked in bad factory lubrication, but 3 break-in solves later and it loosened up just fine. After disassembling and making slight adjustments to the tensions, they became more even and feel quite nice now. The size is pretty much perfect and the sticker quality/shades are fantastic aside from a couple air bubbles that were present, but peeling up one side and re-applying the affected stickers fixed this. I think the biggest problem is that the stability of the puzzle goes way down when you make a deep turn with two layers; in the half-way position the 2x2 corner sections can pop with enough force. Others have even reported explosions when making second layer moves (though that could just be a tensioning issue). Lastly, the springs MF8 used in the four fixed centers are way too long and rigid which makes these layers stiff (the four floating ones do not have springs). Replacing them with shorter and lighter springs (perhaps from a Pyraminx or even a Skewb) will likely help make these turns easier. In summary I'm ecstatically happy MF8 chose to push this design through their pipeline of unreleased projects so soon and it's super cool to see a new FTO-like puzzle become mass-produced, despite the minor design flaws. If you like solving FTO and have cash to burn, this puzzle is a great experience and does not disappoint.

A review of the accomplishments made for FTO in the last year, a survey of the community demographic, and my thoughts on the future of FTO solving. Thank you once again to those who participated, and to everyone in the community for getting us here!
In which I finally showcase my secret method I've been using to force corner skips.
Thanks everyone so much once again for all the support, I honestly couldn't have made this tutorial series a reality without all of you. Here's to the future and even more advanced techniques being developed!
Mark the date, this one is going down in the history books. The most unbelievable FTO solve happened, and the crowd went wild. In this video I break down the scramble, how Dan solved it, and invited him to share his own thoughts on what it takes to be the best.
If you don't want to buy new stickers, this color scheme is for you! This was a massive change in the scope of my FTO solving, but I'm very happy I did it and have even broken several of my records along the way.

Really happy to have finally achieved this; it's crazy to think how far solving has come. I remember back when I was starting out, watching Michael Gottlieb solve one of these in nearly under a minute, which was crazy. Now, it's possible to solve two of them in the same time.
Later in this very stream I beat this with a 57.85 single, but was not recording. You can find it highlighted on my Twitch channel.
I share the details of my FTO performance mod and how I make my puzzles turn so much better for speed solving. As always, leave any questions down below!
I am so incredibly excited to finally be kicking this off! If you want to get better at speedsolving the FTO, here's an opportunity to learn from the world's best at pioneering the event. With in-depth details every step of the way, no tip or trick will be left out.
In which I demonstrate the FTO moveset and how to interpret it.

Q: How many ways are there to solve an FTO? A: There can never be enough.
Also, this might as well have been a blind solve, considering that you can't even see the puzzle in this video. Not that it matters much anyway.
