(It wouldn't recognize any inputs.) However, the Controller still connected fine to my MacBook via Steam and I was able to get it to work previously with OpenEmu. So, your experiences may vary.- Remapping the built-in pads also affects the ports corresponding to their buttons. When I've remapped the pads with my ABXY keys plugged in, I've done so by plugging them into other random ports and remapping those as necessary.- The joystick ports support many more buttons than available on a Nunchuk. During testing, I plugged in a Wii Classic controller and was able to use all of its buttons. Unfortunately, the controller's not designed to handle inputs like that and doesn't map the controls in a standard controller layout. As such, if you wanted to use a joystick with many buttons, you might have to fiddle a bit more to get it right.- Whenever adding a new button to my setup using my adapters, I typically open up Steam Input's Button Test to make sure everything's mapped correctly. If you're not using mono inputs without adapters, you also may need to have a button tester handy to get inputs right. Surface Pro 11 Gaming Review: A Legitimate Gaming Laptop* GameXData 2024-06-25 | Back during my initial gaming review of the Surface Pro 9, I could see plenty of promise just waiting for #WindowsOnARM to work through its varying levels of jankiness. Now, with the #SurfacePro11, most of that jankiness is in the past. Better yet, it’s running games better than either of my handheld PCs while getting much better battery life. The catch? Heavier games were generally recorded at 720p/Low preset with VSYNC enabled and motion blur disabled for smoother recording. For games like Control, Tomb Raider, and Another Crab’s Treasure, the recording in the video aimed to be a worst-case scenario for graphic intensity. In less cluttered environments, each game tended to have a 20% - 30% bump in FPS. Outside battery drain tests, game tests were typically associated with half an hour or more of gameplay with the average observed frame rates specified in the video. All gameplay performance described was while on battery.Battery life claim settingsAll tests were performed with the Surface Pro 11 at ~50% screen brightness alongside 120 Hz + VRR + HDR enabled and both Auto SR and Auto HDR disabled. Performance described within the script was tested at closer to the Surface Pro 9’s native aspect ratio (where available) without adjusting the display’s resolution.As might be obvious, sustained performance for more intense 3D games (e.g., Control and Shadow of the Tomb Raider) is likely to reduce over time due to the Pro 9’s lack of a fan. Performance reported in this video is meant to reflect the maximum raw performance of the SQ3 in spite of the Pro 9’s fanless design.
